That appears to be a very similar wrench, although slightly different as it's part of the discontinued "Corostop" series. The 16mm that is part of the same series (series "7") has a product code of 6091610 I believe.

So your saying it wont match ?

It is similar, however, not the same.

Corostop coating vs. 7 Series

I need to double-check the specifics with Gedore, but, if I remember correctly the Corostop series is just an anticorrosion coating that is applied to the same tool. It was intended to be used by end-user's that work around salt water environments including offshore oil platforms. Gedore's USA location (gedoretools.com) has had the entire line of Corostop tools on clearance for a while. I will check tomorrow with their office staff and see what the reasoning was behind it -- seems like any added anticorrosion protection would be an added bonus.

How bad are shipping prices from Gedore's website? I tried to check but it wanted me to go pretty through the check out to find out. Might use it for future purchases.

I'm not sure. They are a great vendor and always reasonable so I would imagine their shipping prices would reflect as such. I don't want to speak on their behalf though, I'd recommend calling or emailing them for details.

I added a 4 dollar, 10 mm socket to my cart and checked out. They wanted 17 bucks to ship it.

So probably have to place big orders to make the discounts worth while.

Thanks. I'm sure the other would like to know as well.

Per Gedore, the customers who had purchased these items were mainly ship repairmen and were satisfied with them, however, Germany discontinued the Corostop line last year due to poor overall sales. The US location has an assortment of overstock Corostop tools that they have put on clearance.

Got my set today, thanks a lot OP!

I have a good assortment of spanners from Gedore, Dowidat, Saltus, Hazet, Stahlwille etc., but I have to say I have nothing that looks like these Gedore spanners. They are incredibly light and the material looks just, how can I say it, strange... Like the lightweight passenger footpegs from my motorbike (sportsbike), but not like a hand tool. If you like the shiny, solid feel of a Snap-On, this would be in my opinion just the exact opposite. However, I have no doubt that these are really good spanners, and again, thanks a ton to the OP. I also ordered some NC corostop) sockets from the Gedore closeout a year ago or so, and the NC is certainly different than these tools. The NC stuff has a more golden tone into it, the surface is very rough, and i would be surprised to learn that the alloys are the same. Ok, just my thoughts, no flaming necessary ;-)
