I'm quite aware of OSx86. It's completely illegal, as you mentioned, but it's also junk, which you forgot to mention. There is a plethora of problems with Hackintosh computers, but given your limited knowledge thus far of, well, anything computer related, it doesn't surprise me you haven't figured this immutable fact out yet.
First of all, you simply cannot disable every background program running, because many are required. It's not about user programs so much as a failure on Windows' part to manage memory properly, i.e., not filling up the cache, et cetera...
Furthermore, there is absolutely no doubt that Windows comes PRELOADED with a bunch of NONSENSE PROGRAMS that many users simply don't know how to disable, assuming one hasn't built their own machine. (So not only are Mac machines better as far as performance and aesthetics go, but the usability is there for anyone with a brain stem that is not a computer whiz, sorta like you. Do you have a brain stem?) Macintosh does not do the same thing, so you yet again display sheer ignorance. You attempt to hide this fact by casually including, "They MAY go about it in a DIFFERENT way..." I'm not even sure what that means, unless you're admitting that OSX manages memory better than Windows, which you'd be correct - for once.
You just admitted that Apple is more compatible with more devices right off the bat. You literally just admitted it, and you attempt to dismiss this by falsely claiming that Windows does this "95% of the time," which is patently false. Windows 7 does a decent job, but certainly no comparison to Macintosh. And Apple typically has the correct drivers right off the bat, because if they weren't correct, warning messages would consume your screen, which you also forgot to mention.
Kinda like everything you've said thus far, no?
Popular Mechanics
Average Start-Up Time For A 2.4GHz
iMac with 1GB DDR2 RAM - 28.7s.
Shutdown - 4s.
Average Start-Up Time For A 2.0GHz Gateway One with 3GB DDR2 RAM - 1 min, 13s.
Shutdown - 44s.
Please note that all across the board, the iMac launches programs quicker too, including Adobe programs such as Photoshop CS4.
This is just one magazine, of course, but I could link you to about 30 more. Also notice how Mac fires up Windows programs faster, such as Microsoft Office. Sorta makes you wonder about the different architectures, huh?
Why do you imagine people like GeekSquad and your local PC repair shop stay in business? Because not everyone can fix their own machines, just like not everyone can fix their own car or remodel their own home, or rewire their own house, or snake-out their sewer. I can't believe you'd make such an asinine statement and actually believe it holds any water - at all.
Ridiculous. Spend extra money and hire someone to do it for you (knowing, of course, that not everyone can do this, regardless of your asinine contention otherwise) for something not needed with a Macintosh.
Let's not even get into the plethora of potential problems with such a set-up.
Like what? You can get by without an anti-virus software, though I don't recommend it. You simply don't need any special disk utilities, though if you wanted something better than what's installed, Apple Scripts are available for download, free of charge, which combine all necessary maintenance tools into one executable file. Simple, easy, and free.
This doesn't mean anything anyway. Have to wonder why you buy so many Macs while knowing absolutely nothing about them.
Why not buy a powerful, stylish machine that out performs Windows? I didn't pay too much for mine, notwithstanding your comments.
Want to see someone talking out of their ***? Look in the mirror, buddy. Not only did you contradict yourself, but you were proven wrong via Popular Mechanics, common sense, and fact. Not to mention that you're an admitted thief, owning a Hackintosh.
You were owned because you're a ***** who knows absolutely nothing about filing systems, security, system architectures, memory management, and common sense. You make asinine assumptions, like anyone can repair their own PC, which is quite obviously false. For the day-to-day user, Macintosh is better. For the photographer/digital artist, Macintosh is better. For the gamer, Windows has it right now, but that won't always be the case.
I'm not replying to you anymore, and in fact you've been ignored, because you have absolutely no clue what you're talking about, notwithstanding your declarations to the contrary.
