Just curious why I don't see any Gladiator stuff here on the site. I do understand the idea of building and customizing things but I've accumulated a lot of Gladiator stuff over the past couple years in preparation of my future shop. Is there any particular reason why people dislike it(I'm speculating here)?

I have several sections of Gladiator shelving and a workbenchand that im very happy with. If you watch the "hot deals" section, every time the Gladiator cabinets go on sale, guys are all over it.

Ah ok. I just have not seen any in the pics and what not. I set up alerts on slickdeals and have had to force myself to stop buying that stuff since I don't even have my shop yet.

Understood...thanks for your posts guys I was just curious. I know that it's usually over priced and a lot of guys would just prefer to fabricate their own stuff, which is kool too.

it's pretty decent quality and fairly expensive and since there isn't usually an issue with them i guess the guys and gals don't mention them.

check in the garage gallery section and i'll bet you'll find a few in the garages if not mentioned.

i have the gearwall with several hooks. I really like it, but somewhat pricey.

I pick them up when I have sears points to use or a good sale (watch the hot buys section).

I have the gladiator workbench and in my view, the best bench out there. Pretty pricey but I found it at Sears on sale for $239. I just wish it came with a stainless steel top. When the Sears SS top goes on sale I may swap it out. I also use the gladiator wall system hangers. Never have failed me.

Lots of people have the 30" Gladiator Wall Cabinets. Really good deal when they can be had for $99. I've got 4 of them.

i have 4 of the 30 inchers as well. Good solid Cabinets. I want one of the Big floor units they sell but they're kinda pricey.

I don't like the Gladiator line mainly due to the look of them. In my opinion, they are trying too hard to be cool with the diamond plate design.

Yeah, I dont like diamond plate, and I really don't like imitation diamond plate. Deal killer for me.

Really don't care for the diamond plate either but picked up a bunch during BlackFriday. Got 9 of the 30" wall cabinets, 2 of the premier rolling 24", and 4 of the extra large cabinets. It definitely dresses up the garage

i've got some of the locking cabinets. Pretty sturdy stuff. I have a few tracks set up around the garage. expensive stuff but when sales come up I'll have a look.

I don't know how I feel about the red doors, I'd have to see them in person.

Bought 2 a few years back when they were on sale for $99 at Sears and put them in the parents garage. My dad liked them and helped clean the garage a little. So in 2013 I bought 4 more for him and my mom for Christmas at $99. Dad found out I bought them on sale and he called and wanted a few more but didn't have any in stock, so he ordered them for the same price. I think there are now 12 total in a 3 car garage. My dad has a lot of stuff in the house that my mom complains about being in the way and needs to go to the garage. Reason for buying them for presents. I have 6 of them. That need to be installed. These are all the 30" cabinets.
The big locker cabinet I would not buy. Doesn't seem very sturdy to me.

I got a cabinet, some track & accessories as a gift. Quality wise they are pretty good. Like some of the others I'm not a fan of the diamond plate look. While still not perfect, I do like the colored one that was linked better.

I'm planning to paint my garage, etc. and might have to try and paint the doors blue to match other things.

I personally have two of the 30" cabinets, two welded floor cabinets on wheels, three mega kits still in the boxes and a bunch of starter kits (two tracks, four hooks). Someday I will get them put up. I put up 15 of the 30" wall cabinets at work, everyone loves them. Needed something rugged to withstand a dealership environment. Yeah why is there not a Gladiator thread? Still looking for the elusive discontinued fold down workstation..

Yeah, the diamond plate look is my main gripe as well. I can't stand diamond plate - whether it be real or fake - I just think it looks cheesy. I also think the pricing is way too high. It's a nice out of the box [store] solution for a lot of people, convenient and available, so I get the allure for some. But personally I'd rather build something myself or find other options like older used metal cabinetry from craigslist.

Now if only Harbor Freight would make metal cabinetry with the quality of their tool boxes and carts, that would be something I'd buy!

I have a slew of them. But wait until they are on sale. I got 3 tall 36" roller cabinets at 50% off from gladiator. SAMs club had a good deal on other ones. Then Woot.com has an amazing deal on the fold down work centers, which I got two, for 35% of the original price.

Strong, sturdy, and if on sale, way better deal than that pressed wood stuff that warps. I don't mind the diamond plate texture, because it was real diamond plate, it would be twice the price

I bought four 30" cabinets when they were on sale in Sears over the holidays and got a 30" & 48" shelf also. the mounting trac's where $6.50 each.

Glad I got them before my old wood cabinets come crashing down..

Only complaint is the shelf adjustments , move one notch it is a 3" difference.

At the moment, I have 2 30" welded cabs, and 2 of the RTA kind with feet that I also got the bamboo tops for. I have a neat little setup in my garage right now, but space is a bit cramped in my garage because it's my home gym, shop, storage area, and laundry area. I'll have to take a pic and post it on here. My favorite gladiator item is actually the heavy duty shelves. I've had to stop myself from buying anymore because I have several unopened boxes of shelves and cabinets that are just sitting out in my shed until I build my shop.

Are the heavy duty shelves made to be hooked together if desired like warehouse racks?

No they do not. but they can **** up against each other if need be. I bought 2 sets...one in my garage and one for future shop. I also bought the smaller (I think 48") kind and I was very unimpressed with them. They have particle board that had dents in the corners and just looks and feels cheap.

This is the one I call the "heavy duty" one...

Gladiator 24" welded cabinet on woot.com for 79.99 on today's daily deals. I got two. Cheapest I have seen them.

I saw that. Kind of a moot point for me though since I have 2 of those and 2 28" ones still in boxes in my shed since I have no shop yet. I have 2 30" ones mounted in my garage but those will probably come down to put in the shop once it's built. I think I am set on those.

I did however, just buy the 8' work bench/table. Waiting on it to come in now.

I ended up buying four of the 24" cabinets. Going to mount them on the ends of the 8k shelves. Love those shelves. If only sears would have them on sale again so I can get two more sets.
