I got 6 and my bother in law also picked up 6. I went to buy 7 more at another Lowes store, Xenia Ohio, and they wouldn't come down off the $118 price. In fact...they didn't believe me when I told them the other stores were selling them for 29.50.
Oh well...I'm happy.

I bolted them together side by side to make one long wall unit. 4 bolts that hold side panel on I used to bolt the next side panel together and so on. One long upper cab.

After getting screwed on the Kobalt 80gal compressor for $384 deal I thought I would have the same luck with the cabinets...Had to go to two stores, but the second had them for the clearance price of $29...Picked up 9 total..6 for myself and 3 for a buddy of mine. The floor model was left, but we really didn't have the need for another. To top it off I got a 10% military discount bringing the cost to about $26ea. -Gabe

Bought 3 today. 2 for me and 1 for my sister. I may get a couple more if I can find a good spot for them. The tall cabinets look pretty nice hope they get discounted too.
I am also doing it this way.Its a cleaner look.

I had them call the other 3 stores in the general area. After talking to them on the phone and them calling the general manager, they told me..."Corporate must not want our store to sell them for that price." I took that to mean..."After you leave, we are going to buy them for ourselves."

Clearance items typically won't show up on the online system. Your best bet is to just head over to Lowes yourself and cross your fingers.
I know that the Lowes in Chicago (Bricktown location) had a few left as of last night.

It's been said several times in this thread and others, but DON'T count on the lowes.com website for any sort of accurate info about stuff like this.
For example, I looked at lowes.com this AM just to see if anything showed up at any of my local stores- and they all showed the same- nothing. So we ran up to the closest Lowe's about 5 miles away and they had the 1 on display and no more- I asked one of the employees to check their system to see if they should have any more in stock, he did and said it showed 1- the one on the display. He then offered to check stock at other local stores (all of which showed "this lowe's does not carry this item" at lowes.com) and 4 or 5 stores within 15 miles had from 3 to 14 each in stock. So I went to the next closest store that showed 4 in stock and they had 3 in the box plus the display (4 total). Bought those 3 in the box and now I need to go to the other store that had 14 in inventory if I want any more.......
I picked one up yesterday, didnt relly need it as I have a bunch of wurth cabinets around the garage, but what the hell it was so cheep I got it, its kind of a pain to assemble took about 30 min but it came out nice. I wish they would put the bench one's one sale I relly like those.

The first Lowe's I went to only had the floor model and it was marked to $64 on clearance...When I got to the store I purchased mine at, I asked the employee why they had them on sale for $29. He stated that Lowe's uses a formula that takes into account the number of stock and the time is had been in the store to calculate the clearance price. He also mentioned that the other store would not have to match their clearance price based on that formula...
It makes sense to me..If Lowe's has a store with a product that wasn't selling well to begin with, that is the place to mark it down the largest % to quickly deplete the inventory.

You need to read these threads very carefully. I got the same "this lowes doesn't carry this item" message. But went to a store and immediately found 2 units! Then I had them check the three other nearby Lowe's using their computer stock system and they said one store had 9. So I drove over and picked up the 6 (just display left).
This morning, I called and asked for customer service to check the part number for another nearby store and they had 6 units. So now I have a total of 13 units for the new 1,200 Sq. Foot garage and that should do it. I can always bring back an unwanted cabinet if there is one.
The wife wants one put up on the wall near the roll-up for car cleaning stuff. I think I'll use one in the vault to store fishing reels. Lots of uses for these. Add 6 -inch frame under these and have a floor unit. Stack them? Probably Could. I have not Tried it yet-but you could possibly invert these if you install the shelves upside down.
So if anyone is tallying these for the GJ Forum "Group" Buy: I have 13.
Thanks again-great find. Want the under-bench ones next if they go on close-out.
FYI-The Long Beach, CA (Central) Lowe's had 6 of these at noon (Sunday 2/15).

Went to my local store yesterday. They had a bunch of units, but marked at $118. I went to the service desk with the 5 digit number and talked to the rep there about what I was looking for. She keyed the numbers in, and the price came up at $118. She said if I could find some "documentation" of some type, they might match the price, but I am not sure what else to do.
Trying to decide if I should run over again tonight and just pick one up and run it up to the front and try to check out with it and see what the price is when the item is scanned.
These cabinets are not perfect for me, but since I am planning to do an intermediate finishing of my attached 2 car garage, until i can afford my bigger build, they could work very well...

Well, I had to go to 4 different NC Lowes stores, but finally got 5 cabinets. First store had none. Picked up 2 at the second store. The 3rd store had 12 but they were not on sale! Talked to the manager, the computer showed they were "Non-stocked" meaning they will get no more, but he said his pricing comes from corporate, and not all stores discount same items at the same time. He did offer to sell them to me at $75 - thanks but no thanks. Finally went to the 5th store and picked up the last 3 they had. I might check out a couple more Lowes close to my work tomorrow.

I caught wind of this a little too late. All the stores except one is out of them. That store claims that corporate made a mistake, and they caught it. So they aren't selling them on sale. Dang!!

It took me about an hour to assemble the first one. After I got the wife out to help out, we could knock one out in about 35 minutes. I ended up getting 6 mounted, but am deciding on doing the mounting a little differently. I like the track due to the fact that you can slide the cabinet, or just lift it off. Just not sure about the space behind it. But they will come down easy and the track is just mounted by screws, so when I repaint, I might just switch some things around then.
As far as the pegboard....the display I bought had it on the inside if the doors, all of the others have a narrower channel for the door support. The one with the pegboard is a lot stiffer than the others. And for the ones that do not have your cabinets assembled yet, check your shelf height before you bolt them all together. 4 of the cabinets I put the secondary shelf center between the top and bottom. Some rattle cans will fit, others will not. Bottles of buffing compound and glaze are way too tall for the shelf.

I have to report in that I scored three of these (cleaned out the Richmond KY Lowes). But that's ok because that's all I figure I can use. Now I have to haunt the store in hopes of the tall cabinets going on a similar clearance.

I got mine today. 3 + display at Bedford Hts. Lowes and 2 more NIB at Willoughby Hills Lowes; I left the display at that one. So count me in for a total of 6.
TRUST NO-ONE: At the first store; when I had my back turned finding somebody to take the display down' another customer was unloading two off my flatbed cart and on to his; I looked at him like WTF and he got the message. 5 min later after me and the employee got the display down and on to my cart; a different customer shows up and says to the employee that he wants some too after he sees that big *** yellow tag with $29.50 on it. He gets pissy because theres none left and get this: he then try's to convince me that I really dont need four of them, and all he really needed was two. I took the high road and just kept my mouth shut and left.
Edit: FWIW my display model came with the metal rail on the back, I figured they all came with these.
Oh I almost forgot: BIG THANKS TO THE OP

No, they had the display unit hard mounted. I did get all the screws they had mounted it with though.
Today I went and cleaned out 3 more stores of boxed units. 1 each in North Dallas, Plano, and Richardson. All I left were the displays. The Richardson store had the clearance price, but the other 2 stores I had to have them call the manager and show them the receipt from yesterday's purchase to get them to honor the good price. I'm now up to 9 units, and I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for the other sizes to go on clearance!

8 here in Knoxville, TN at the store in Alcoa. Tried to pay over the phone from my closest store to one that had 13 of them, they were $118 there. Guy wouldn't budge. I don't know if they have to honor the price if you have a receipt from another store, but I would guess they would be more likely to do so. I will definitely be watching the stores and this thread for the other parts of the line to go on sale.

I managed to find one at the Woodbridge, NJ Lowes. I bought one, and left one on the shelf. The cashier said that it was a hot item today - at least 6 others came past her.
Piscataway Lowes didn't have any in stock.

got my four put togather today ... man that was alot of nuts and bolts holy cow my finger tips are sore... i also bolted two side by side looks pretty good sorry no pics yet wife had the camera today... will post pics asap... how did everybody else like the assembly process?
