Go 30 wide or 40 Wide?

Finally found the time to show where i plan on putting the garage. I'm worried that if I end up going 40 wide it won't look right with the house. What's everyones thoughts?

I think turning the shop 90* from how you have it would be fine. As far as door layout, it depends on what you want to use the shop for. The larger door will be about 75% of the two smaller doors cost wise.

Make sure you have something on the opposite end so you can get some cross breeze. That was my other first regret on the last shop. That's the main reason I added the 10' door on the far wall of this one. I was going to just put another man door back there, but the cost difference between that and another panel door was minimal, plus it gives me another access to the back yard that I can get cars through.

I think the 40w would look fine on that lot, but it will cost you more lawn than trees.
Of course, with only two vehicles, you don't need more than 30w and the extra depth gives you more shop/storage space. But a 40w with 3 doors (or at least framed for 3 doors) allows for adding a 3rd car down the road if your goals change or you sell.
