Hi everyone. This is a 1hp 110v/220v 4 pole ac motor. Today I opened one of the two same motors that I have. It looks pretty beat up from the rotor. What you guys think?? The bearings look good, they still have grease on them. The stator looks kind of good. Any input will be very appreciated. Thank you. B0E7E14A-9B35-4B3B-BA5E-D5C0F210A553.jpg

Looks like the rotor looks like it has been hitting/wearing on the stator, but that's about it. The grease looks pretty sad too.

I'd probably just pack some fresh grease into the bearings, and reassemble the motor. Just tap the end-bells around lightly with a hammer and make sure the rotor isn't hitting anything. Should be fine.

Most single-phase motors usually just need their large capacitor changed out after running for a couple of years, or decades. xD
Not sure why you took yours apart, assuming it wasn't running correctly and wanted to diagnose/troubleshoot? If bearings are bad or are going bad, you'll hear them whining while running the motor, if you wait too long expect very bad things.
The last picture has the bearing stuck in the endbell, means you should probably put loctite on the shaft bearing journal before reinstalling or sleeving/reparing the shaft which requires a lathe...
Easy way to test if the capacitor is bad is to turn motor on, see how much amps its drawing, try to by hand, spin the shaft over to see if it'll start up, if it doesn't, means you have a winding issue. It'll run if ground, but if too large a short, won't run.

Third to last picture, you can see where the rotor lamination stack dragged against the stator lamination stack, that is because the shaft was spinning against the inner race of the bearing, you can see the shaft damage in the picture https://i.imgur.com/jvwr6yx.png

When it was all together, the shaft had endplay, lots of wiggling so to speak. Afraid no amount of loctite is going to fix this, not even the non-wicking green compound. Machine work is necessary.
