Good week on craigslist

Just picked up this 1/3hp craftsman bench grinder for $70 bucks. And an atlas 1060 drill press for $100. How do figure out the year of the drill press? Is in the serial number or stamped somewhere?

If you look at the photo index of www.vintagemachinery.org, you should find some pictures of DPs like yours with age and other info.

Warning... You will find that you lost several hours of your life, looking at all of the machine **** there.

Yeah, the grinder is nice..
Are you planing on restoring the drill press?
How is the motor, nice and quiet..... Or will it need bearings?

Thanks for the replies. Both machines are in great shape and run mint. They cost me an extra 60 bucks though. I had to buy the old lady flowers to keep her happy. Ill restore them one day. Im currently getting an original dewalt radial arm saw running.
