I was going to search for one here in the UK, won't worry too much now!Very cool. Those sell for serious money in the UK. Last one i saw for sale was £600 (about $750).
Price maybe? New 166N are around $1100. I wonder what the prices in the 70s/80s were? I bet similar US made trolleys at the time were probably a helluva lot cheaper than a german made one. There's at least one serious collector of Hazet Assistents here on the board - I recall seeing pictures they posted of a whole row of them, of various vintages. I think they're a neat idea and wonder why they never caught on in the US.
Theres sometimes some for sale pretty reasonably priced on the Hazet Tool Assistent facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/hazetassistent/I was going to search for one here in the UK, won't worry too much now!
For some reason they remind me of my mom’s Electrolux vacuum back in the ‘60s. That thing lasted damn near forever. Those always looked like a blue Radio Flyer to me. Well, stacked RF's.
Hmmmm....
So the 2 vertical supports swivel. So I just swivel them up and can pull it around. Right now I just have it fully open. I did get a good deal on it. It is essentially the same as the current model.Looks cool but how do you move it? I dont see a wagon handle and it looks maybe 2ft tall closed. Are you supposed to bend over and push it? Maybe the uprights swivel around to use as a handle and you hope it doesn't run up on your heels??
Yeah! Those Beta's are neat too. I think they come in the original orange as well.Anyone looking for a bit less expensive option, but similar form factor, I recently picked up Beta C27S (~$500 on Amazon). So far really liking it. Drawers slide out half way in both directions. Need to make a thread for it once it's all set up.
