Finally the Hot Dawg is installed. Nice and toasty. Now I can start working on the rest of the garage project.

45k btu, 22x21x10, R30 ceiling r13 walls.Nice! How big of a unit did you go with and how large of a volume are you heating? What type of insulation?
Only reason I'm not going with forced air heat is due to dust being moved around the shop.
I have a Hot Dawg 60K unit and I really like it. Heats up the garage quickly (we leave it at 50 degrees) when we want to go out there and work and doesn't make a whole lot of noise. You can have a normal conversation with it running, listen to the radio, even talk on the portable telephone if you want.

Can you comment on the cost of the install? Did they also run the gas pipe up the wall for you? Just trying to get a reference point to compare to the quotes I have received ($3,000 for unit, install and gas line; I have gas terminated at the outside of my building. Just need to bring through the wall and up to where the unit will hang).
