I am looking for ideas on building a British retro-style garage for my cars. I know this is mostly a US forum and when I look at the gallery most of the garages (or shops as they are called) are in an American style. How can I find British looking garages by using the search facility?

My garage is a typical British triple garage, 30' long by 20' deep. It will mainly be somewhere to look after the cars rather than as a full on maintenance workshop; a 1958 Aston Martin, a 1933 Lagonda and a '99 TVR Griffith. Like most of us I imagine, I do have the usual problem of storage of car related stuff and DIY tools.

Just looking for some inspiration basically!

I recall several picture threads in the Garage Gallery section of vintage garages in the UK. The trick will be finding them, the search function here doesn't work very well. You may have better luck using Google to search the site, along with some creative search terms.

First.....you have to post pics of said cars......

It's the rule......I didn't make that one up.....

But there might be a missing vehicle report to file, as there isn't one listed from the 1970's. Might have to stretch one end of that 20 X 30 garage a bit.

Should be a Justifiable, legal reason to build a little bigger?

A British garage would look old , and have small cars inside that have the steering wheel on the wrong side ....
