Often wondered about Temp and Humidity?
A room would...rock.
This last house purchase, we were considering building and I had intentions to incorporate one. But we ended up buying a pre-existing house instead, so I never got to see that idea to fruition.
Temp would be easy enough to control with a vent drop from your ac/heater unit. For humidity, you'd need to spec a dehumidifier during the build process, and put in an outlet for it. Even for smaller metal gun safes, it's a good idea to get the battery powered dehumidifiers.
By the way, some of my favorites so far is the construction box conversion. Cheap and effective. And probably equally as secure as most "consumer grade" safes. Although, I have to say, I'm not into the zombie thing and the whole paint theme attracts people to it. If storing in a garage, you'd want it to blend in better I think. Still...bad ***. Thanks for sharing!
Also like the coffee table, headboard and entertainment center hideaways! I like having a gun in every room and then having the rest secured in a safe. Thanks for sharing these as well.
Keep the pictures and experiences coming -- I am enjoying this thread!
