Sweet - looks like I'll be stopping at the local store to buy a magazine and then head over to Harbor Freight to pick mine up!

I am really confused. I thought you were all for USA cars, tools, products? What happened?! Concussion? :)

Not sure where you got that from -- maybe threads about cars? :headscrat Don't think I've ever ranted about buying USA tools and products, just cars built by American companies - call me selfish, but Ford, GM, and Chrysler keep my area of Michigan employed. When it comes to everything else, I'll buy American where possible but nope not really worried about it (Although I do refuse to shop at Walmart). Just the same scenario as people who live in a city where the majority of the city is employed by ... Kellogg cearals or something would feel a stronger sense of "Buy Kellogg"

You don't see a disconnect in that?

Only disconnect that I see is that this thread is about the HF 13 drawer tool box.

And no - why are people in some of the southern states so tied to Toyota? Because Toyota is employing them with their factories. Living in Metro Detroit, my entire family (aunts and uncles included) are all greatly affected by the big 3 so that's who I choose to support for my vehicle purchasing.:beer:

Now can we get back on topic?

Well we aren't talking about the choice for yourself but what you suggested others in the US should do. So people in the south should be buying Toyota Nissan and Honda since many of those are made there? And those of us on the west coast should buy only models imported since we benefit from the ship traffic and importation work? If you believe in supporting Detroit manufacturing it seems you should support other US manufacturing.

Is that the pro? Looks like the finish is smooth and not the texture like the other ones are.

Nah, it's the same one everyone else has been posting. It really doesn't have that much of a texture to it, but the little bit that it does have the iPhone isn't really showing because of the poor lighting in the garage.

People have tried complaining but they don't care what is written on the 20% off coupons because it's store policy and printed at the registers for everyone to see. Kinda like if they misprint a sales ad, as long as it's printed that there was a mistake the printed correction in store overrides the sales ad.

Could you scan it and post it up? Quite a few folks have been looking for one...

I just picked mine up for $350. I had to get creative to get out of minivan and unpack by myself. Now my question:

What are the short bolts included w the handle used for?

Thanks.

I think those might be for a side cabinet. I just threw them in with the rest of my bolts and such.

So it was no problem loading it into a minivan at HF? I'm more concerned about getting it into the van. Well... until I get it home :)

I had the 3rd row "in the floor" and then the 2nd row folded fwd. It is crated, and now thinking about that, it likely safes room as there isn't too much styerfoam around it. It fit w/ plenty of room. Bring something to protect your bumper as we (HF clerk helped) cantilevered it into the van.

To get out, i used a furniture dolly under it in the van to move to the back of the van and then cantilevered using the bumper (protected w/ towel) on my own. My wife thought i was crazy for doing it by myself. I was a little worried about the 300# dropping on me, but it worked out very well. Unpacking it / moving it around once on the garage floor was no problem.

Good luck.

Do you think HF will offer those coupons $271.99 coupons again? I'd like to get this toolbox, but it's just slightly more than I want to spend. If only I could use those 20% off coupons!

I hear 'ya. If it hits the $27x.** amount again, I'm pulling the trigger on it. In the meantime, it seems like there's no hurry to pick it up with the $350 coupon...that coupon is good through April.

The days of the sub $300.00 13 drawer box are long gone.

While I believe that's probably the case, there doesn't seem to be a downside to waiting. The $350 coupons are valid through April, and there will probably be more of them out between now and then. In the meantime, you never know what you'll find on Craigslist.

No downside to waiting as long as the $350 is still honored if you wait until April. I was waiting on using my 20% off coupon until they bent me over (read: changed the policy) and charged me $100 more.

Do these come in a crate or a box? I am trying to decide if I can fit it in my town and country so I don't have to borrow a truck.

This is how mine came:

You can get it into a minivan if you broke it down. Just be sure you've got a few hands for loading and unloading.

The HF by me took it out of the crate (leaving it in the box), loaded it on their handcart lift that they sell and then lifted it up to the level of my '08 Trailblazer and loaded it in the back for me. Fit perfect.

Couple of Cabinet Coupons!

I have a lot of those cabinet coupons for $349, but I don't see a reason to buy it at that price. The price might go lower on a sale or they could have a 1-day super coupon or something.

Or they could increase in price, or not do coupons on them at all anymore.

I thought I saw the latest coupons showing them going for 379 now. Better use the 349 ones before they expire.

Or...before a new "company policy" declares the $349 coupons 'invalid', that's basically what happened with the 20% off coupons. The coupons were still valid, but the new 'company policy' prohibited those coupons to be used for tool box purchases.....
