I didn't know they existed either, nor have I saw one. Have you used their store locator to call the nearby facilities to you so you can check one out?

I presume they are built very similar to the 44" and 52" models, which have a very good reputation. And for good reason -- they blow the Sears, HD, Lowe's, etc box quality out of the water while competing in the same price range.

That being said, the "purists" will always tell you why their SnapOn, etc is better and you should save for a quality American box. I can agree those boxes are better and would love American made, but for a guy that doesn't wrench every day it's hard to justify the cost. These smaller boxes offer great bang for the buck.

I agree...I do "wrench" every day and have blown through other boxes and love my Snappie, but for home use...hell, I'd buy this HF one in a heartbeat!!!

Menards has a 72" masterforce for $1499. Probably would be too hard to get it for 1250-1350 with their sales. Has the middle set of wheels, choice of color.

The Masterforce has a poor selection of drawers, arguably even worse than the HF unit. Too many of the drawers are wastefully deep, IMO.

The 2 double deep drawers really ruin that box.

Yea i've tried both of my local stores but it doesn't seem they've come in just yet. I have a snap on box and i love it. i'm looking to make a 15' work bench and was planing on using 2 of the 56" boxes but might just wait and use two of these. All that assuming the quality is the same on these as their other boxes.

Just looking at the pics I would say the Rural King box is less beefy. As the above poster notes, it's lighter. Also, look at the casters. They look way cheesier than the HF or Menards unit.

Just for kicks, here are the claimed weights for the boxes referenced in this thread:
-HF 72": 528 lbs.
-Menards 72": 492 lbs.
-Rural King 72": 330 lbs.

They work well for a home shop IMHO. I have two of the 72" boxes and use the deep drawers for storing fluids, spray cans, circ saw, ect. I do like the three wide drawers up top. Personally I don't know what I would have done with more smaller drawers. I do however store allot my tooling and such in one of them and the other is utilized for mechanics tools so maybe my perspective is a bit off since im not using it solely for mechanics tools. I bought mine in lieu of buying more cabinets and as such have been satisfied with the larger drawers and drawer configuration to date. I had $800 in store store credit from cash back purchases on my menards card and they were on sale for roughly $1200. I was happy with what I paid and have enjoyed the boxes. I didn't want red, and like the latching system on the master force box. I would buy them again.

If you are always going to leave it in one location, Sears sells a tall cabinet that uses the same drawers as their metal workbenches. Yes they are slides and no wide drawers but they hold an awful lot and I think you can get 3 for the price of 1 roller.
