here is the lower 56" for $699

Thank you -- love this coupon! However, wouldn't it be cheaper to use the 20% on top of the $799 price? ($639.20). Or is that the same issue as the 25% coupon where you can't use it on toolboxes?

BTW, long time lurker first time poster -- you guys have been amazing in my research and I'm almost ready to pull the trigger. Thanks again!

As I was promptly responded to when I first posted here with a similar question. No coupon discounts are allowed with tool chest storage items.

I'm looking too for free coupons. Just bought the 26" tool chest combo yesterday and need to go back today for some more things and will hit up the lot sale.

It would be awesome if someone could post today some of the coupons.

Thnx

All,

Thank you for all the tips -- just got home with my 56" Chest (67681) -- $699 with coupon and 5drawer rolling tool cart(95272) $164.99 with coupon.

However, since I read you can try to get additional discounts on big purchases by offering to purchase an Inside Track Membership I decided to give it a whirl. It started by me asking to measure the box to ensure it will fit it the back of my beautiful bride's SUV. The manager kindly escorted me to the back to take measurements off this beast's crate. After some chit chat I asked if he could sweeten the deal if I purchased a membership. The dialog was a bit like this:

Me: "So can you make this price any better if I buy an Inside Track Membership from you guys?"
Him: "Hmmm, a 2yr?"
Me: "If I do what does it look like?"
Him: "If you but a 2yr we can take 10% off the 56"
Me: ^nodding^ "But what if I purchase that 5 drawer tool cart too?"
Him: "I could do 15% off the 56... if that's the case"
^time for the counter^
Me: "How about 20% off each of them?"
Him: He thinks for a minute... "Deal, follow me and we'll get you rung up"
:rocker:
Out the door @ $749.07 for both plus the membership ($44) The conversation saved me $187.28 with tax... God Bless America! Now how the hell do I unload this thing?! Maybe I'll have a beer to celebrate and contemplate the situation of 420lbs stuffed into the back of the SUV :pimpflash.

Happy Friday everyone!

That's awesome but I really wished you posted this little tid bit sooner as I yesterday picked up the 26" version. I'm actually glad I went yesterday and not during the sale. It would not have made a difference since my coupon (thanks to GJ) was lower than the sale price.

I went back to my local HF for various **** and it was swamped, not sure if I would have been able to pull off the same deal, the sales people were running around like chickens but that really good info for the future knowing there's room to haggle. It makes a nice difference with the big purchases.

Thank you for posting that.

Ack! Sorry macgee. I didn't go in until today. Hopefully it will help others as every dollar counts nowadays. Happy hunting, folks!

I went to the sidewalk sale on Thursday (Inside Track members get early access) and picked up what I wanted. Not much in this go around, but then after a while you have already gotten the big ticket items. I hope to pick up a tool chest combo, but those are best done with coupons rather than the sales.

I did pick up more zip ties, consumables, misc stuff. That stuff adds up quick when you're not paying attention. Surely this $9 item won't hurt, right?

Clearance items- picked up a nice set of hearing protection earmuffs and the 1 ton arbor press discounted to $30. I'm happy with that. I'm going to hit up another store on the way home today to check out their clearance items.

Any current free item coupons handy?

Also looking at the 7-drawer end cabinet, but seems those rarely, if ever, go on sale... Anyone ever see one lower than $190?

Buddy and i went last night. An thanks to my wonderful gal she got us the deals. She pulled up a app on her smart phone that gives you coupons. She was able to get us a free 27 led flashlight, a free led hand light, a free 5 by 7 tarp, a free multimeter, a free 6 peice screwdriver set, free pair of gloves, and a free tape measure! Cashier hooked us up and we both go out of their will all that free! haha.

Well that just means the cashier you got wasn't trained and/or super relax, because technically you're limited to only 1 free item coupon per day or something... believe me I've tried at several different locations.

Here is a free headlamp coupon from Field and Stream.
Never seen that as a freebie before.
Thanks.

Would appreciate if someone would post a decent scan of the free batteries and other new freebies in this link:

Thanks

Many are waiting for a readable scan of that.
I was unable to even guess at the code for the free batts using HF's website to enter in possible codes.

Nice!!! And they are probably one of the last places left where you can do this... try it at Sears or HD or LOWES and you get the brush off. Heck, Lowes doesn't even want to give you something that's mispriced if its a lower price than it should be. I was in there and saw a bunch of Ryobi Power planers (the hand held ones) they had a sign over them that said they were on clearance for like $69.00 I believe it was, there were 3 left, two were in destroyed boxes, one wasn't so I grabbed the one in the good box and it rang up for like $129.00 or what ever it was, I forget.. anyhow the clearance items were the two beat up ones... I told the3 guy that this one was the same and it was on the shelf but he checked it and said nope, this one was still regular price... I told him, thanks for understanding, left my cart of stuff there and went to HD. the days of "The customer is always right" are long gone at most big stores. this is what happens when you kill off the competition I guess. Just like the guy who cuts the plywood at the Lowes in my town says he cant cut PT plywood cause it is against the health codes yet the Home depot a few blocks away (same town ) can? What?? :lol_hitti
