Sorry to sound like an idiot, but the latest 20% off coupon says it can be used on-line, but I don't see any kind of code on there to input it on-line. What am I missing?

I beat the hell out of mine, still kicks just fine..I went to the HF 170a 220v machine though and that also seems to work pretty well for me. I've used it on cages, bumpers, rock sliders, axle trusses, control arm/track bar brackets, etc, etc.

Control arm/track bar are critical. Post up pics of the welds if you dare. :)

Use the number in the bar code. I think one time I had to play around to get it to work using only the last maybe 6 digits.

Also there's a 25% coupon. Good to mid March.

Jim,

You call that welding?

Seriously, I guess a bench would be ok with those welds but no way I would trust my life to those welds. Have you ever owned a blue or red machine?

Wow, what a bunch of welding snobs! I welded a bench, and a tire changer, and I have welded together part of my trailer almost two years ago, and immagine that, it is still holding.

Sure, I would prefer a MIG, but for the little welding I do, my little flux core does just fine. I am not building roll cages or race cars, so I am quite confident that for my use the HF welder is just fine! Some of you wouldn't believe HF could possibly produce a welder that could possibly work because it doesn't cost enough! :shocking:

Jim

PS I hammered the **** out of it with a 2 pound sledge, and not a single weld broke.

Uh, you used that "welder" on a trailer? I hope it was just a tail light bracket or something. I actually lost a trailer after a weld broke. Very heavy 18 ft car trailer, professionally built, that the tongue separated from the a-frame at the weld. Fortunately, it was empty when it happened.

Like I said, 2 years and it is still holding. I learned long ago, it isn't the tool you are using, it is the "tool" using the tool that counts. If you require a $500+ welder to do a good job, maybe it isn't the welder holding you back.

i'm no welding expert, but I'm jealous of your end result jim. For non structural objects, that would be great..... you can pm me, but including all supplies, how much money do you have ******* in welding?

Looking for a coupon for the 1-ton shop crane. On sale for $99.

Printable would be preferable but would also pay shipping + a few bucks for the effort.

Thanks!!

Just out of curiosity, can a person walk into HF and pick up one of their flyer's and turn it in at the register? I've never done it, but I know they keep flyer's at the doors so you can grab one going in or out. I would think that ALL HF's would have the flyer's at the door.

Yes, but I don't think they have ALL the coupons in there. I find most of my coupons in the various 1 page ad's they seem to place in different magazines.

I've looked at the flyers in the store before, but they don't usually have any of the coupons in it... just the ads for the things on sale.

Quoted for truth.

My experience has been that the wire is more important than the cost of the machine.
