If you want "big ticket" items, then no you can't use it.

You want some hand tools, it'll work for that.

That's why the "miss you " 25% coupon was asked for. Here's the fine print on the one I received a little while ago and used for a roller box.

How do you get that one? I get emails and flyers from them, but I've never seen that one.

I assume don't buy anything "in the store" for a while. Hence the "we miss you email". For me it was around a year. I did order from the website in between visits.

I've received 2 of those that I can remember. I checked my records(as they send an email receipt). The last time I was in the store was April 2022 when they sent me the 25% off anything and enticed me to go into the store. I got another one this month and went in and used it. I have no idea if that's typical. I'm not a member of the inside track club. It's not a plan I have either. HF is a little out of my way and traffic can be a hassle depending on the time so I just order my items many times as the shipping is reasonable.

I wouldn't have bought the rolling cart if I didn't have the 25% off. I wanted one, but didn't absolutely need one. Guess patience pays off.
I told the clerk at the store when he commented on the savings that "HF marketing works".

I used a 25% off on a 72" roller cabinet at my local HF.
It wasn't in stock, so they ordered it for me.

Then two days after I ordered it, the price dropped by $100.
I called about that and the Manager agreed to refund me the $100 difference after the roller cabinet arrived.
But after I paid for a truck to pick up the cabinet and arrived at the store...
....the manager refused to give me the $100 difference because she found out I used the 25% off coupon on the original purchase.

WTF.
What's the difference had I just waited two days and used the 25% off coupon when the price dropped $100.
I'll never shop at that store again.

mathematically it should have been $75 not $100 as that's what the difference would have been utilizing the coupon. Plus any for sales tax difference.

Maybe there was a miscommunication involved.

Used the 25% off coupon yesterday to grab a Quinn 1/2” torque adapter. I’m interested to try it out and see what it says about my over 10yo Pittsburg pro torque wrench. 😅

I used my Memorial Day 25% coupon today on a Viking $200 carbon pile 1000A battery tester. The cashier was surprised that the coupon was not rejected.

Yesterday I used the 25% to get the Daytona 6T jackstands. My Pittsburgh 6Ts were the early gray ones & were not on the recall list from 3 yrs ago, mine did not have the recall issues. The updated list now includes the P/N I had. Returned them & got $59.99 + tax store credit. I paid $40 for them during a sale about 15 yrs ago. The new Daytona 6Ts are $79.99, 25% dropped them down to $59.99. So I walked out the door paying $0.00.

Today I went back & used the 25% to get the 9pc Punch & Die set. Tomorrow we're taking my buddy's RV to the beach & BBQ. That's a pretty good Memorial Day weekend for me!

Not a 25%-off coupon, but this past week, I've finally gotten around to using a purchase I made awhile back, an Omnipro 220 multi-process welder. I also have the HFT TIG torch and the spool gun for aluminum welding. The TIG torch is controlled by a foot pedal, I got one of those too.

How did I come-by these? Why didn't I buy a 'red' or a 'blue' box instead?

Well, the red/blue boxes are more expensive, and I think I would have had to spend double what I did to get what I have. Plus, I'm not familiar with the red/blue multi-process machines, or even if they have 'em. Yeah, I know 'buy once, cry once.'

When the HFT class-action lawsuit told me I could get store credit for my receipts, I made an excel spreadsheet of my years-back purchases, w/columns for the date purchased, the amount spent, and I made photo copies of my receipts, which I had stuffed into an almost overflowing 3-sided tray on the wall above my workbench. I figured I'd be due a bit less-than $400. I sent it all in (email) and waited. A few months later, and I got two gift cards for a bit-less than $400.

I waited until the Omnipro 220 went on sale, and bought it, with my store credit from the class-action lawsuit, that put it at about $500, best I can recall. There was a coupon in there with the multi-process welder for a healthy discount for an accessory, so I got the foot pedal, the TIG torch and the aluminum spool gun.

HFT Vulcan Omnipro 220 multi-process welder.01 - Copy.png

Now, I'm not a welder, I've done little of it, I have an oxy-acetylene rig and brazing has usually worked for what I've had to do. Other processes, I have friends who are good at it, they get my work. But now I have a decent product, and I'm learning how to use it. So far, I've used the MIG flux-core welding, and yesterday I used the MIG aluminum spool gun, w/argon. Neither attempt is pretty, but they seem to have held together.

I might go to the closest store and see what's there, and when I'm home, I can always practice with my Omnipro 220 multi-process welder. Our adult son told us he has a friend who volunteered to teach me the use of the machine, I'd accept the offer. Meanwhile, I've been reading the factory manuals, and also one of the available welding manuals there are, which I bought.

Bottom line, my class-action lawsuit store credit saved me about 40%. Now all I need to do is practice.

Florida has a great variety of insects, amphibians, and reptiles. I added some crutch tips (they're white rubber) and rubber corks (they're black) to prevent insects from crawling up the hoses and connections (labelled on the pic). I used two 2" X 6" PT lumber to make a bracket for the argon tank. It's much better-secured with that than the two light-duty chains that come with the HFT welding cart.

Man I swear the cashiers must be trying to conveniently forget to apply coupons these days. Had my phone out with the Memorial day coupon. Got distracted by my kids and the fact they don't scan Inside track cards anymore (all via Phone number) forgot to remind the cashier to scan the coupon. Paid and left the store. 2nd time that has happened. Eric Schmidt got an extra $8 out of me.... Hopefully I am the only idiot here.

Nope, I did that once too. Took my buddy (not any sort of tool guy) to HF, gave him a copy of the coupon. When I checked out I totally forgot to have my phone ready to be scanned, didn't realize till we got back, my buddy just laughed.

That was the last day of the sale. Well I went back the next day & kindly spoked to a cashier, told her my coupon didn't get scanned, well techincally I wasn't lying, I just didn't mention that it was my *******'s fault. She was cool & applied the discounts manually, refunded me the difference.

Memorial Day sale ain't over yet but not sure if it's worth your time or money going back. For me it wasn't much saving, was a 30% off under $20 sale on 5 items but I was passing by anyway so I gave it shot.

I think I am going to start printing out the coupons again. That way if I leave it on the counter it is hard(er) for the cashier to miss it. Back in the day the cashiers were proactive and sometimes even had a spare coupon behind the register.

I tell them I have a coupon when I walk up, and show them the coupon on my phone and they scan it.

I agree though, yesterday I picked up a box of gloves and used the 25% coupon, when I was pulling out my phone, the casher then said "Oh I got one here too".. I think they're probably being told to not scan them unless the customer already has it out.

I guess it comes down to which cashier you get. Yesterday I got a breaker bar and the cashier handed the coupon back to me to reuse since the sale ran a couple more days. Today I got some gloves and the young dude tossed the coupon in a box behind the counter. I asked for it back and while retrieving it he said most people didn't want it back. I guess I should install it on my phone.

Yea I can see that. I've had casheers that have let me make a few transactions all using the same single item coupon. Just depends on the day and person working.

I just picked up another 1K lift cart. $92 savings with the 25% of coupon makes it the same price it was without a sale 2 years ago. Still the best deal in town for what it is.
Saving $92 off the 1000 lb lift cart with the 25% off coupon beat the ITC price last month. Picked one up today and that lift cart was pretty heavy ;) Could have used a lift cart to get the lift cart off my pickup.

I already have 3 of them at the shop. They get used daily.

Tried to buy an electric pole saw this weekend. They had one pictured in the banner Ad that I got in my email (several times) and say repeatedly on Facebook touting 25% off one item for the Memorial Day weekend. Trouble was, all of their pole saws were excluded because of their brand name or because the one in the picture was on sale for 7% off. So, I'm taking a break from Harbor Freight for a while. To me, that's just too many games. Hell, they should put the whole store on 1% off and issue a big coupon. No one could use it, but imagine the traffic they'd get through the store.

Thank you. I appreciate this. I usually buy the 9mil… but this is a really good deal.

I wanted the surface conditioner- normally $150 and I tried to use the Memorial Day sale 25% coupon on it, but didn't read it was excluded. It's on sale for $99 in the parking lot sale. Even better!

On certain items I've noticed the same thing happening: Parking Lot sale prices better than Memorial -25% which was better than ITC price...strange

I'm getting the hammer drill. I will get the compact impact wrench at some point as I don't need the high or ultra model. I've been pleased with the impact driver so far. I wish they had a 20v jigsaw and a brad nailer. I rarely use a grinder and would never need anything other than a manual grease gun.

May want to look at Ridgid for that money. They have a lifetime warranty on power tools as well on their batteries. I have been very happy with their brushless line.

Well I was finally able to use my 25% off coupon yesterday to pickup the 1000lb lift table. I've been trying to buy one for years and they finally have one in stock within 30 miles of me (got the last one) I guess this post is really just a placeholder to see how much time passes until they "miss me" again.

OK, so as a point of reference, this post was about my last 25% off coupon purchase on 9/6/22. The only purchases I've made since then have been anonymous. Cash only, no phone numbers given, etc., and last night I got my next "we miss you" no exclusions 25% off coupon. So in this instance it was 10 months from the last time they think I bought anything to getting a new coupon.

Just a point of reference, FYI.
