FWIW: all clearance items seemed to have been slashed further in price. I might pick up a cobalt & HSS drill set.

Their cobalt ones aren't too bad for the price, I've been using them for years. Stay far away from their Warrior (prev Drill Master) HSS black oxide, absolute junk, my coworker bought a set.

I don't care for their "TiN" set either but they are better than the black oxide. But mine were the older branded Drill Master, same smell though.

This is a crazy coupon. I have a lot of Chief air tools and in my research, I have found them to be identical to a lot of the tools sold by "name brand" manufacturers. I have straight and right angle die grinders, extended reach die grinders and the larger needle scaler and all have been excellent.

I totally agree! I have both carbide burr sets but at 40% off I might get 2 more sets.

Should I assume access for everyone after Friday or that it's just available to ITC members? I could use a couple of the chief tools, but not enough to justify them at full price.

My 13yo and I recently found interest in firearms and we've been enjoying spending time at the range. I had an older soft sided gun case that was starting to deteriorate and lint pretty bad, and saw that the Apache cases were 45% off. I couldn't resist and bought a few 9800's (rifle cases) and a 3800 for future pistol use. While I will say they appear to be very robust cases, when two scoped rifles are loaded into the 9800 it is a bit on the heavy and cumbersome side. Just putting it out there for potential buyers.

Apache cases work fine for to/from the gun range, but they are not remotely water and weatherproof in the same way like a Pelican case.

I don't doubt that they wouldn't stack up against something more then double their costs, but if you don't plan on using them as a floatation device for crossing the atlantic I'm sure they would be ok for protection from physical damage and some light subjection to the elements.

I went to HF to buy a couple of the Apache cases on sale, I ended up walking away because I wasn’t impressed with the quality. The latches leave much to be desired, the handles on the end are very thin, and they just don’t seem very robust. I’m biased as a long time Pelican user, but I‘m really not liking the Pelican weight these days.

The older I get the more I agree with the weight thing.

Harbor Freight is doing something I haven't seen before. $10 off $50 or more, $25 off $100 or more:

But here is the new part:

Keyword is "after".

"Compounding" coupons? At Harbor Freight?

Wow: 25 off 100 is very generous, if you can keep your purchase to the $100 number.

Just printed that one off earlier this morning. Plans are to buy the Bauer 20V chainsaw (currently on offer as "free" with a battery and charger pack) and a couple of small items to get it just over $100. Thus, $75 won't be too bad compared to my only other local options, Craftsman and Kobalt--at over $100.

The Daytona lowpro would end up at $105 which is just slightly better than the recent Labor day blanket 40% off Daytona jacks when it was $108. I was hoping for a deal on a lowpro long reach or a super duty, so I might hold out.

I might pick up the pole saw and brad nailer. I have an adapter for kobalt 24v batteries.

the way I understand this, the coupon can be applied on 5x per day (in-store)?
Yeah, I never noticed that. Could also read it as 5 items in 1 visit, each must be under 20$. Which would actually be pretty good for up to 30$ savings

I got my 5 <$10 items, coupon scanned once and deduction happened on all. May try again tomorrow or day after if I can come up with a list.

To Harbor Freight, somewhat.

Have they always allowed compounding coupons? Over the last year the coupons I've seen usually have a disclaimer about "cannot be combined with other offers" or the like.
Back when you had to cut the 20% coupon off magazines from your workplace, yeah it was fairly common if I recall. I don't think I've done it since.

If you are an ITC member you should be able to get 5 items under $20 and 5 items under $10. I've done this before but be advised there might be some drone at the register who was born on a pallet in back who'll say you can't.

Actually, the system is glitched (or whatever reason), has been for a while. When there is this 5 item limit sale, the system will actually apply the discount to more than 5 different items. Ever since I discovered this by accident, I have tested it by purchasing much more than 5 different items & every time I have received the discount if the cashier doesn't care to notice.

At first I thought buying multiples of a same item only counts as "1 item" for the coupon 5 item limit but I tested this theory to not be true.

When I said "if the cashier doesn't care to notice", they know the coupon policy but usually won't go out of their way to correct the discounts over 5 items. One time during that sale the coupon didn't get scanned, went back the next day (sale was over) & kindly explained to a cashier. They applied the discount for me (manually) but would only apply it 5 of the items (I didn't complain of course)

But your miles may vary. I'm not the only one to report this glitch happening.

Also be aware, I'm not an ITC member, but for ITC members & the 30% off under $20, if an item you are buying has an existing coupon that is cheaper than 30% off, if you don't present that specific item coupon, the 30% coupon will apply to it & you will potentially be paying more than you should.

do you know if the coupon only works on items under the price point or also the first 10$ of a pricier (say 12$) item?
