Be aware that basically most/all tools under this price range got likely bumped in price. You can track recent price changes for under 10/20$ tools here:
edit, best to go under the 'deals section' to see tools that changed price favorably.

Thanks for the tips! I went in today & bought 14 items $19.99 and less and got 30% off on all.

Does anybody have a single-use discount code that they were given that they aren't using, and could give me via private/direct message? I am trying to buy a US General toolbox in the next 10 days and they aren't on BF sale, and I'd really like to do better than the sticker price at all.

Thanks in advance for anything that may be offered,
Mark

Obvioulsly, you didn't look at the BF ad good enough, page 2 , 72" USG $400 off, down to $1399.

If you're talking about the 27" USG rolling toolbox, there was a wide distribution coupon for it for $349, but it expired yesterday (no idea if that is actually a good deal for it and I am not an ITC member). I checked my email and didn't have any general use coupons. So you may have to wait a bit. Sorry.

Shameless bump one more time as I am heading down to Portland from Canada this coming weekend with my wife and would really like to bring some HF toolboxes home with me for my garage redesign - any chance somebody has a 20 or 25% coupon that got emailed that they can hook me up with?

Thanks again,
Mark

BF deals are live. Watch for SKU shenanigans. Went to get 3 ton jack stands. In the labeled spot of the matching the color for the on sale one, they had a different SKU that wasn't on sale. Apparently the only difference is the safety pin.

In no way am I sticking up for HF but plenty of others play these same shenanigans.

No surprise that ebay & Amazon do it to as well as other big retailers like Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Lowes, etc.

Last week I bought a mini screwdriver kit on Amazon for $13.59 & there was a 10% coupon, so $12.23 not including taxes. Other than the coupon no sale or anything listed as the reason for that price. Just looked like the normal price, I have not checked to see what the 3 Camels say.

This past weekend the price went up the $15, then yesterday, the price dropped back down to $13.59 & is now listed as "Black Friday Deal" and with no 10% coupon offered.

Am I surprised, nope. I stopped paying attention to Black Friday years ago. BF & CM doesn't mean a damn thing to me anymore, it's been played out. Can get better deals at other times of the year.

Well...

I guess I just wanted to vent. My anger with HF is not over pricing. Since I have made a complaint with corporate I'll wait to divulge details but they can make it right or refund me my ITC payment and I'll never do business with them again.

I can understand that. There was a time when I was ashamed to admit that I have bought things from HF. Times have changed & they have changed my mind. With Sears gone & no other store like HF near me, I like that they exist.

I have no problem buying from them but there are things that I still won't buy from them. Their quality has gone up a lot since I first bought from them 25 yrs ago. But their ITC, they can **** it. Unless I ever need to buy a big tool box (highly unlikely), I willl never buy their ITC (well never say never....).

Well, just in case people forgot about this one... Not a coupon per se, but huge discounts on some useful items. I picked up a pen light and some ball nose hex bit sockets.

I grabbed the Icon 3/8” semi deep sockets in standard and metric along with some socket extensions for the 40% off on Wednesday.

Enlighten us.
I read/heard somewhere that a big brand 'merican welder sales guy was asked what they though about Chinese welders. I think he said it was the best thing that had happened to them.....everyone having cheap access to one and getting hooked enough to want to upgrade. Dunno if true or not but I liked the anecdote.

Good time to pick up their 500lb large welding cart to hold three machines and a 56” roll cab. The 20 ton bottle jack is also worth having.

I have that large cart and I like it, very decent for the money. I have my plasma cutter and a TIG on it.

I have a mig, tig, and plasma that need a home. I have one of the 350 lb carts for the tig currently and another in the box, but I think I’d be happier with the one big cart and it would take up less floor space while freeing up a couple drawers full of welding stuff. I was planning on the mig and plasma on the other 350# cart, but the plasma won’t fit on the bottom without significant modification.

I like this orientation.

Those toolboxes are generally not in stock in most locations - do you go in on the 23rd to order the 56" box, or do you go in on an earlier day, order the box, and then pick it up on the 23rd and present the coupon then?

Thank you,
Mark

I would ask for a rain check on 12/23 if not in stock.

For my 56” and end locker last time it was a “pre-order” meaning pay that day and wait for the call/email to pickup
