Tried to use those coupons today. While I was looking on my phone for pics of the coupons, she asked for my phone number. As I pulled up the coupons, she told me I didn't need it: Club members get 20% off anyway.

Got the 2500w Predator for $126 off. I told them I'll be back.

They really need to stop running the 20% off ANYTHING coupons for only one day. Or at least run them on days I have off work...

I've missed out a few times due to my work schedule and I've been wanting to get a new tool cabinet for a while as the 42" is a bit short on storage.

Do you feel the price of Icon is justifiable over Quinn? I am going to look at the oddballs like swivel or 3/8 impact.
The Quinn seems pretty solid, to be honest. Though I’d have probably grabbed the icon instead if they made it in 3/4. I also grabbed the Quinn 3/8 master impact set, because $55 was just too good a deal to pass up, even though I also have the Icon 3/8 impact stuff.

I'm not sure if this is company-wide, by my local HF had 30% off today only on the open box section.
I've never had much luck with the open box items previously, but they had one of these with packaging damage (but what looks like factory tape) for $409.49 - came out to $286.64 after the discount:

Make sure to test it out right away. The liquidation sales can only be returned in 5 days. Percent can vary by store and sometimes can be negotiated to more off.

I've decided that new cars and trucks are severely overpriced junk, so went the other direction and picked up a zero-rust '77 C20 squarebody.

Carb needs rebuilt and the rebuild kit is on the way, but would really like to pick up HF's ultrasonic cleaner. Does anyone have a good coupon they aren't going to use?

When I was looking at ultrasonic cleaners, vevor was cheaper by quite a bit. I’ve got two vevor units. Both work well.

As soloz2 said above, the Vevor units are pretty good quality. I have been using on to clean parts I have out of a 1947 Willy's CJ2A to good effect. I would look in to those either through the Vevor store directly or on Amazon.

I love that truck. Had a '73 C20 -- what seems like a hundred years ago.

I truly mean no disrespect, and I've been out of the buying/selling vintage cars for a long time, but does that truck in the photo actually fall into the modern-day "Zero Rust" category? Just curious...

Also, on topic -- I have used one of the small HF ultrasonic cleaners for 15+ years to clean parts and small-engine carbs. Thing works and heats great and still going strong (I am knocking on wood as I type this). It's limitation is it's size, and I have many times wanted a bigger one, just never spent the cash to get one.

The large HF ultrasonic cleaner goes on sale every month or two……. Be patient for a few more weeks unless someone gives you a coupon.
I have also used large one and a small ultrasonic cleaner for hand gun cleaning and they work great.…. My only complaint is the temp is in Celsius so I made my own Celsius to Fahrenheit conversation cart that I keep next to the machine,

Thanks! I'll look at the Vevor - but not showing in stock anywhere local.

I'm not a user of apple products, so no carplay. I did install a retro radio that looks like the stock AM radio but has AM/FM, bluetooth, USB, and aux inputs. Waiting on two more speakers.

I was getting a dead spot and almost-stall when accelerating. No vacuum leaks I can find, and the vacuum brake appears to have blown the diaphragm inside. I have one arriving tomorrow and hopefully that sorts it, but if not the quadrajet is coming off for a rebuild.

I hate it sitting in the driveway and everything I need for it is in a shipping truck creeping this way...

To clarify - there's no rust-through or repairs of rust-through, only some mild surface rust (they call it patina) as shown on the paint in the photo.

Instead of rebuilding the quadrajet you may want to check this out: https://www.holley.com/blog/post/how_to_replace_a_gm_quadrajet_carb_with_efi/
Pricey?……. Yes, but this can be "tuned" and maybe you can find a kit on FB marketplace.

I am with Hammin; it looks like there is some weight reduction on the front fenders, and if it lives there, I am sure it is in the cab corners as well. Still a nice start, and I drive the heck out of my 1985 K10. Still have a factory AM radio; it is all I need, but AC would be nice, as I get older.
