Also, thanks for the trailer info, I am trying to find the dang trailer in stock, visited/called several stores with no luck. Hopefully I get lucky today.

All you need to do is call one store and give them the item number. When they tell you they don't have it in stock, ask them to do a store inventory search and give them your zip code. They can search up to 500 miles.

i noticed in the latest coupons that the free gift is with any purchase now, it had been with a dollar amount before. not quite as good as awhile back when they said no purchase necessary, though....

They found out when you give out hundreds of thousands of items to someone that is not buying anything else, you go in the hole. I wish they would phase out the free coupons all together.

In my case, its one of the things that differentiates HF from Northern Tool. I have both of them to choose from, just a couple of miles apart. But anymore, between the 20% off one item and the free item, I don't even bother going to Northern Tool.

I assume HF is pricing their product so that even with the 20% off guys like me, they are still making money. I know every time I go, I come back with extra stuff that was not on my shopping list.

+1 If I was HF, I would drop the free item with no purchase coupon. The $20 purchase minimum requirement sounds about right.

You can use as many coupons as you want as long as they are for different items.

You CAN NOT use more then one 20% off coupon, one "free item" coupon, and can not use a 20% off along with an item coupon, (double stacking).

For those harbor freight guys!?! I know that I can't use the 20% off coupon for a tool cabinet (which I already have), but you can use it for the 5 drawer red tool cart. My question is, can you use it for the 7 drawer side box on the 13 drawer rolling cabinet? It is the same price as the red cart, so what would the difference be? Thanks in advance for the info!

Yea, I worked for Computer City for about six months before they went under. Their thing was "Free After Mail in Rebate" and people would buy a half dozen different "Free" thing and want me to print out a receipt for each one or multiple copies, because every one had to be mailed separately! I sometimes would do one copy, told them to photo copy for the rest. Then every now and then someone would insist that I ring up and them pay for one item at a time.

And, I thought I was cheep!

Menards is best - you automatically get a separate rebate receipt for each rebate item attached to your regular receipt. Each one even has the rebate number on it so you get the right rebate coupon at the service desk.

As a customer, I love HF's freebies.

Thanks for reminding me to keep these coupons - this weekend I picked up the 64 piece socket set for $27 for the travel kit, free leather gloves, $9.99 4 -15ft ratchet straps, and $13.99 moving dolly (perfect size for 55 gal drums and small block engines or transmissions)

Yes, print them big enough to read the code number under the barcode. Even of the bar code doesn't scan, they input the code number.

The only welder that is $89 is the 90 amp flux wire that we sell. There are a few coupons for that price and it's in sale at $119 right now. It's also gonna be on the June 10-12 parking lot sale.

They do accept printed coupons, I've been to a dozen stores at least and all of them accepted them without an issue. On some of their coupons it does have a disclaimer that says that it cannot be reprinted or copied, but I haven't tried those. I got lucky and the local HF near me decided to use the 20% off single item on all the items that I bought a couple weeks ago.
