Im lookin to build a miata here in the near future so I need pretty much tools for that. Jack, jack stands, engine hoist, engine stand, wrenches I need it all when I moved I didnt bring anything with me.

JACKSTANDS

I ended up grabbing a few sets of the $15.00 jackstands and had some opinions.

(1) note that there are two jackstands per box. (i grabbed four boxes with the thought of four jackstands..

(2) the jackstands on sale are awful short. (Height range: 11-3/4" to 16-3/4" which means only 5" of travel) I had planned on using them for a transmission swap which definitely wasnt going to happen... ended up taking the short ones back and buying the larger set.

Yes, very cheaply built. Was given it for free from my Grandfather's stuff. I left it in his garage for when I have to work on their stuff. Would only recommend it for very light home use.

Most automotive magazines have them in them. Hot Rod, Car Craft and that type. Most home improvement or woodworking ones to. Take a look at any local magazine stand and thumb through a couple. You can get on the mailing list or find some on the internet sites like Facebook but the biggest discounts are the ones in the magazines.
