Thanks, I have been looking for a torque wrench to leave at my cabin. I only have a need for once or twice a year so i cant justify the expense of a high end tool.

Just wanted to say "Thanks!" for my first post on this forum.
Been waiting for a coupon to come in the mail for the $349 price on the 44" 13 drawer tool cabinet, and finally decided to look online. Got a damaged unit on my first try, but took it back for an exchange and the one I have now is pretty much flawless after a thorough look-over! Whole lot of cabinet for the price...
I found a lot of good information in this thread and it's good to see all the lowest prices they've offered for their products in the past. I'm just getting started on building my garage up, so I'm glad to have found a good forum to use as a resource. I hope to be able to contribute myself in the future!

One quick tip for those who have purchased or will purchase the 44" 13-drawer cabinet.
I noticed it was a little difficult to roll when I unpacked it, but not terrible. Well, I wanted to switch the fixed casters to the other side of the cabinet, and when I flipped it on its side to swap the casters I noticed right away that the fixed casters weren't quite aligned properly. They were tilted a bit askew... The best way I could describe it is like this: [ \\ // ] but far less exaggerated.
Since there's a bit of play in the mounting bracket, it was shipped with the fixed wheels a bit misaligned. I payed close attention to have the wheels parallel to each other and the side of the cabinet when I installed them on the other side, and it rolls butter-smooth now with far less effort.
Just a head's up to anyone who bought the cabinet, but didn't swap the casters/handle to the other side...in case your cabinet is a little cumbersome to move around.

Found some of the less common jack coupons today; aluminum,
and steel.
Better late than never I guess.
Just a heads up, the 2-ton aluminum jack is a good piece for the price. I use it with no problems on my lowered 240SX at least once a week, I just refuse to lift my Avalanche with it... Had it for almost a year now. Just bleed it yourself before first use, mine was overfilled from the factory.

Thanks for posting. Printed out the 2 ton AL and it worked fine. The store acted like they never saw one of these before but when they entered it, the register rang up the $129.99 price. I would have taken the 3 ton AL if there had been a coupon for it. After all bigger is better, right?

You could have gotten the 4 ton in steel and saved $30. Someday I may understand the appeal of aluminum floor jacks. Someday...

For those of us that use their jack at the track, the appeal is the low weight of the aluminum jack. Not so much while in the pit or paddock, but more to keep the weight down in car hauler/trailer. With all the stuff we drag to the track it starts to add up so you start evaluating everything and looking at ways to keep it all under the total weight limit of your car hauler/trailer.
That said, I think there are many "race driver posers" that like the pit crew appearance an aluminum jack provides their garage.

My 3 ton has wheels on it.
So you carry around ramp everywhere when you need to put it in your trunk, pickup truck or rack body truck when it is necessary to take it somewhere? I sure don't. And mine has wheels also, good wheels actually.

That's what I originally purchased my aluminum jack for, but have found many other uses for it around the place. Most recently to hold up/adjust a large wood gate I was installing. Not going to drag my steel floor jacks across the gravel and lawn. Just pick up the aluminum and carry it over. The aluminum jack has been very handy for far more than at the track.
Edited: Just saw those coupons. Going to buy a second aluminum jack to keep in the shop. Good deal.

Interesting. I wonder if HD will accept one of these for a tool bag purchase later this week.
I once used my floor jack to replace a dishwasher. The PO of the house installed tile floor in the kitchen so the floor in front of the dishwasher was about 1/4-inch higher than the floor under the dishwasher. The edge of the counter has a lip where the dishwasher kept getting hung up. I used the jack and a 2x4 to slightly lift the counter top just enough to get the dishwasher out.

Thanks for getting us back on track. One word of warning though; the coupon states you can enter it online in the fine print but they have never worked for me. Best to use it in store. Don't measure until you get home though.
