Radiator Pressure tester

I don't own it, another tech used it twice before the pump itself cracked down the housing. FAIL with some PASS...I found I could unscrew the hose from my Mac tester and screw the quick connect fitting from this set in, then use the adapters, so it makes a cheap adapter set.

Beard king I will send you another email. I have several $299 coupons for that lift table

Dang, I wish I had seen this past earlier today. I ended up buying it today for $339. Of course if you send the coupon to me, I'll go back and see if they'll refund the difference.

Hey folks. I need to buy a set of AC manifold gauges for vehicles, and also a vacuum pump. A quick search of the Harbor freight site shows the gauges at about $55, and a decent vacuum pump at about $105.

I need to know if you guys have reviewed either of these, and if they seem like good enough tools for occasional use, where can I find coupons to get the most $$ off?

I actually googled harbor freight coupons and found this thread.

I have two vehicles with AC not working, and while I'm not worried about my truck, my wife's car needs to be fixed because she carries the babies around and I want them to be comfortable. This is something I have never been able to diagnose and fix on my own without proper tools, so I need to get them so I can do it. I am not paying a shop to do this work.

Thanks!

Not sure of part stores in location, but i found you can borrow these two items from Autozone. You pay them a deposit, which is refunded when you return them. I think some of the other part stores do this as well.
Unless you want to buy these for your tool collection.
Just wanted to give you a heads up. I was going to do the same thing as you until I found I could borrow.

Hey guys, I have a few coupons that come in my farm magazines. Mostly tailored to farmers, it seems. That was a sample of them, just curious if there is any interest in my continuing of this. Let me know yay or nay.

Didn't know I could do this. I will look into it. The only thing that concerns me is the cost, and how long I may need it. I have a feeling that whatever the problem is may take a few days to find, and then I will have to go and rent again..that type of stuff. If it turns out to be more trouble than just buying a cheap set, I will buy. Thank you for the heads up though!

I did this 2 years ago and left a deposit slightly more than than the item cost. I deposited $50 for a $40 pulley puller in case I never returned it. 3-4 days later I returned it and got my $50 back.

I've done this several times and had the tool for a few weeks. There is not really a time limit (i'm assuming within reason).

I did this too. The clerk told me that I have up to 90 days to return. I checked the receipt and it said that same thing. Basically, my local AutoZone charges the cost of the tool. If the tool is returned prior to 90 days, the customer gets his money back. If not, the customer bought it.

So I've been trying to convince my wife that I've outgrown my 26" toolbox for nearly a year now. Over the past couple months, I have been diligently waiting for HF gift cards to pop up on discount, so that I could more easily convince her I needed the 44" box. FINALLY, I have acquired enough gift cards to cover the cost of the box. Now, I just need to acquire the $359 coupon!

And if you wait until the June tent sale, you might get it for $349.

Is the $10 extra on the coupon up top too much to pay? :spit:

No. I don't think it's too much to pay. Though, if one's not in a big hurry, the tent sales will be in three weeks and the cost drops to $349, at least that's the price I saw them at the last couple tent sales.

In the grand scheme of things, no. At the same time, I'm not in a huge hurry and I know the $359 coupon is very common. Why spend the extra money when I know I can save it for something else. What do you expect in a coupon thread.... much less, a HARBOR FREIGHT coupon thread lol!

Has anyone here ever seen a coupon for the 3 Ton Low Profile Heavy Duty Steel Jack? It's currently $89.99 in the store. There is a current coupon for the 3 Ton steel jack that is NOT low profile, but that's not the one I want.

I'm talking about this one:

Thanks!

Yeah, I have two coupons that have it for 69.99. I think they are pretty common. Went to pick one up but they were out of stock, so I picked up the Arcan hybrid from Costco.

JonnyC - how do you like the Arcan hybrid from Costco? I saw it the other day and was very impressed with build quality.

I've seen lots of coupons for the standard but not the low profile. Perhaps you could post some here.

Doh, I thought I had two coupons but I guess it was just one, and it expired on 5/10 so I threw it away.

Only used it on my Subaru so far, but it worked great and seems well built. Wouldn't mind having a little extra lift though, which is why I was planning on getting the 3 ton low profile in the first place.

Ok. I have been eyeing up the aluminum jacks at HF for a while. Then I saw the Arcan at Costco and meant to look up reviews but haven't gotten around to it. Thanks for the info. Right now I have a cheap Larin jack. It does the job but is a little on the cheap side.

I have the 1 1/2 ton aluminium HF jack that I got on sale. I specifically got it because I needed a low profile jack to fit under my MINI. It generally works well and I like that it is light and easy to pick up. The small size means it doesn't lift very high though. Also the wheels aren't the best. But generally I like it and it has been well worth the purchase price. It's a fast lift jack, too, which is nice. My other jack is the old HF 2 ton, which is ok and fairly durable but given what you can get now for the same kind of money, I would say pass and get the modern fast pump and something that works better when trying to release.

The 1.5 ton aluminum jack is downright scary. My father has one, it parallelograms noticeably when lifting and the lift arm rubs the frame on the way down (and he's lifting a Honda Fit which is nowhere near the limit). I should get him something safer for Father's Day, but he's moving soon so I'm not sure he really wants that.

That hasn't been my experience at all. Maybe he just got a bad jack.
