For a gag gift for my wife, the fly hater and noted fly hunter.

For $3.00, she loves it. In fact, the whole family is fight over it.

It makes a great sound when you do finally make contact with a fly, and they die instantly.

Being the kind of guy that I am, I had to test it out on my finger. I don't suggest following my example, as it did hurt quite a bit.

I got the 44" bottom tool chest this weekend at the parking lot sale. I was able to get the $29 membership and apply an additional 20% discount to the sale price on the box. :bounce: .

I figured I would try one cashier on Friday and if she didn't allow using the membership discount on the box I'd try another cashier on Saturday. She said fine, but the. Didn't know some discount code and called the manager... My heart stopped thinking he might say no to the club discount on top of the parking lot sale price, but all was good and I got to take it home.

I used my tractor supply company trailer and the HD straps I had bought a few weeks ago. The straps sucked for tieing don such a heavy load and one by one they loosened up on the short trip home, but made it to the garage.

****, sorry about the huge image size , still trying to figure out how small to resize in photobucket. :wtf:

So then your price was $287 ish before tax? Good deal. I didn't think they'd apply any other discount on top of the sales price, even ITC. Food for thought. I gave serious consideration to a floor model they had on sale for $300 but decided to wait.

Lucky, because I got told flat out "no" when I asked the manager about getting a discount if I signed up for the Inside Track Club.

Yeah, that was lucky. Even after the ITC fee you still come out (with tax) less than the normal sales price. With our 8.3% sales tax it would put me out the door at $343.30. OTOH, I could have bought the floor model for $300, not bought ITC, and ended up at $324.9 out the door. But then I would have had a unit with some scratches and a torn rubber top.

I wanted to buy one this weekend but I'm 3.5 hours away. My daughter is going down to Fargo next week and I phoned to see if I could pay for it over the phone with a credit card and then have her pick it up next week. No dice! :(

Does anyone have a coupon for the MIG welder cart? I just realized I missed the recent lower price!
69340/60790/61316 are the item numbers all for the same cart.
I am unable to locate a %OFF coupon that is still valid. Thanks!! Great thread!

See below post. I was able to find a REALLY, REALLY good coupon for the cart in the April issue. $29.99 regularly 59.99!!!

I need the step stool coupon by tomorrow (for $19.99) if anyone has it.

Also, make sure to pick up the Fathers Day coupons near the register.

Also, I collect old coupons because at my HFT some cashiers forget to check the expiration date. So, when it won't go into the register they put it in and I still get the discount. If you can, post the step stool coupon that expires 6/21 and its $19.99.

Yesterday the welding cabinet, SKU 61705, was added to the percentage off coupons exclusions. You may want to try now before the new coupons are printed. A manager will have to override the register.

Don't ask how I know, non-disclosure agreements and such.

Taking a trip tomorrow to the nearest HF, to pick up a 20-ton shop press and see what else I can find.

I have the $149 coupon for the press printed off as well as a 25% off one item for whatever else I may find. Does anyone have a current 20% off your entire purchase I can give to my dad for whatever he may want to buy?

Thanks!

I've gotten into the habit of collecting the coupons and putting them in a file folder that sits in my rig between the seat and center console. That way I always have a set with me when I stop by the store at random times. A coupon with you is worth far more than the coupons sitting on the table at home!

I also write on top of the ad flyer the expiration date to easily weed them out as they expire. I keep the FREE coupons I like to use a lot for those blue hockey puck LED worklights right at the top.

Where do you get the best coupons? In my experience, the flyers sent out by HF in the mail are the worst prices. They are the biggest and most obvious, but the better pricing is often to be found in the smaller Ad-vo/ ValuePak weekly mailed ads you receive as junk mail. Go through all the vinyl siding, teeth cleaning, insurance discounts, etc, and you'll usually find an HF single page ad in there loose. That's where I frequently find the 25% coupons. You'll also find them in magazines, so it may be worth taking a look at your favorite wood working or automotive magazine to see what they have listed. If you don't care, you can remove the ad, or just scan and make a copy to have with you.

Make friends with a cashier / manager. Get to know them by face and they will be more willing to work with you, especially in honoring coupons. Separate out your items to be scanned so the coupon items are last. I use post-it notes on magazines or larger ads with the item name so I can quickly open it to that location so they can scan the barcode. When you make it easier on them, they'll be more willing to let you use some of those coupons in some situations where they technically don't count. ;)

Well I ended up getting the 20 ton shop press and my Dad got the 20 gallon parts washer. After we got them home we put the shop press together and I asked my Dad what he thought of it, "Oh it's cute" he says... Hehe, I think we both expected it to be a bit taller.

"Well it's yours, Happy Fathers Day" :-D

Who knows?
Also... Please post any free coupons or discount coupons that expire before July 1 so I could use them.

Yeaaaaaaaaa, no offense man, but you're not getting jack from me man. User name is suspect and you're pushing for stuff already. Hows about a little forum participation first?
