Thanks Clymber, that's what I was looking for. Only $10.00 off the current sale price, but I haven't seen it for $269.00 in a while.

Since finding GJ I have "needed" many more tools. I wouldn't even need this top box if I hadn't found GJ. :D

What is Harbor Freight's policy on the free with purchase coupons? Can I say go in and buy two regular priced items and then use two free with purchase coupons? Or do they only supposed to allow one free with purchase coupon per transaction? What about the free no purchase necessary coupons? Can I use one of those along side a free with purchase coupon? Just trying to get a consensus.. I'm making a run in just a bit.

Local only allows one free item per person per visit. Bring a friend if you want two free!

They told me 1 per day period. They were sort of nasty about it.
Even after l told them I was a good hour away each way.
Then the manager acted smart, and said it wasn't worth it to drive an hour each way for the free Item(s).
Not what I did wise guy.

One freebie per day is general policy. However, my store had lots of people bringing kids, wife, grandma, whoever, to get additional items on free coupon.

Tip . . . bring extra coat and hat, take a Pepsi break after 1st visit. Go back in congnito for 2nd freebie . . . . worked for me !! :D

HF used to be right down the street from my home. Well they still are I was the one that moved. Anyway. If I needed one thing, I bought it with a 20% and had a free item. IF i wanted 2 things, I got in line again and bought the second with a 20% and a free item. Etc.

In fact I have done that in more than one store and its not like they didn't know. The people don't care about HF at all unless it gets them in trouble with their boss. The managers usually try to sound all tough but I guarantee they want the money, at whatever discount, more than they want to keep their inventory. One manager told me they average close to 50% profit margin on a per week basis. Sidewalk sales they could hit 70%

Go here: http://dtnpf-digital.com/publication/?i=196627&p=160#{"page":120,"issue_id":"229666"}

When the page loads, click it once and a pdf link should appear in the upper right hand corner. Download and print.

Or save the image I posted to your phone and show it at the store.

Thank you for that. I thought I would share my discovery from your post. This is an great source for HF coupons. Everyone if you go to the main page. http://www.dtnprogressivefarmer.com/dtnag/ and up at the top select "check out our digital issue" you can look through their digital magazine. There is a serach feature that you can type "harbor" into and it will take you right to the HF ad. Seems the coupons have extended expiration dates so you should be able to go back 3 or 4 months for valid ones.

P.S. It would not work in Chrome browser for me but worked fine in Internet Explorer.

I took a good look at their cross slide and drill press vises one day, so much play and slop that I thought they would barely be useable. They certainly won't be very accurate. I got a Wilton instead.

Interesting, the cross-slide vise had much better reviews than the straight drill press vise (complaints of looseness, like you said). Many people did say that the standard "disassemble, clean, lube, reassemble" routine was mandatory.

This would be for use in a drill press, not a mill. Accurate enough for that, do you think?

I haven't taken a close look in-store, guess I need to go get my hands on one.

My guess is it may be ok for light use, just check it out first to be sure

Thanks

I need to go get a bunch of small items here soon. Do they still offer the "x-% off entire order" coupons occasionally?
