Anybody have a coupon for the 12" compound miter? I've seen one for $139.99. I'd just as soon get it before BF to not deal with that.

#69684

Found one.

My neighbor bought into the inside track club. He gave me one of his cards.

I pull it out every time I purchase something. He gets the spam email receipt.

I have noticed that if they are on the fence with honoring a coupon, it seems to tip it in my favor.

Not really sure about anything else.

Anybody have a coupon for a cherry picker or engine stand or is the 25% off coupon the best way to go?

Hey does anybody have the inside track club? Or is it a rip off?

It's OK. Most of the time the magazine or 25% coupons will get you slightly cheaper. You can use as many of the ITC coupons as you want at the same time. If you shop there much it will save you time from making multiple trips.

The 1 ton picker

I have one for $150 but I know they have much lower ones. I've seen $99 several times.

I can't scan any right now.

1000# engine stand code 89446482 expires 11-24-14 $49.99

2000# engine stand code 81874652 expires 1-30-15 $99.99

2 ton cherry picker code 82384894 expires 3-6-15 $179.99

I'll keep looking for the 1 ton.

I have it and saved $2.00 on the magnetic paper towel hanger the whole year and paid $29.00 for the membership. It is a whole lot cheaper just to use the %25 off coupon and you will come out cheaper. And they asked if I wanted to renew it they charge you sales tax on the membership fee here in California. RIPPOFF save your money and buy some **** from them that you don't need. LOL

I'm planning on buying the 56" toolchest in the near future.

The toolchest is currently on its never-ending "sale" price of $799.

Is there a coupon out there for the $699 price?

Or do I need to wait for the next "real" sale for it to go down to $699?

I have it; when purchasing, they gave a $10 gift card, so it was only $20.

You do get access to additional coupons on the website that are members only. I've used a few of them and easily paid for the membership. Some of these are available as part of general ads, but I'd say the value is picking them when you want them.

I've not gone to a members only even yet.

Can someone tell me what the best recent coupon (within the last 6 months or so) they have seen for these items?

44" top box
56" top box (I can't recall I've ever seen one)
72" roller

Does anyone know how many cubic inches the 30" red tool cart is?

I've seen 44 box at $249 w/ coupon in October. I've not seen the 56 or 72 coupons (if they exist?) only advertised sales.

I did find an image online of a 72" coupon at $999.99. Just not sure that's the latest. The 56" top is the most elusive one if one ever existed.

got this from century 21. apparently they send these out as a mailer now?

at least this is something i wanted from the real estate lady that helped me a few years ago. she is still sending a bunch of cards that pretty much say "please tell your friends to use me as their agent" if you read between the lines.... pretty annoying.

ok, edit: had to upload it to a personal account, GJ doesn't allow high res pictures and you could barely make any numbers out on it. click on the photo then enlarge while in photobucket to get max res

Haha, sounds like you are doing the same analysis I did.

I went away from the 44" setup b/c of the shallower drawers. The extra depth of the 56 and 72 really come in handy and add up to a lot more room.

I'm going with the 56+top box, instead of the 72".

Yes, I was curious which one offered the best value overall. So far it looks like the 44" is the most bang for the buck at 2.6 cent per cubic inch and the 56" even without a coupon for the top box coming close at 2.6 cent per cubic inch. The 72 with the $999.00 coupon is 2.9 cents a cubic inch. I know all that looks pretty close but when you look at the cost per cubic ft it really shows. These numbers are based on Harbor Freights stated Cubic Inch capacity.

Based on sale/coupon pricing (no coupon on the 56" top box)
44" combo winds up $42.70 / Cu. Ft.
56" combo at $44.58 / Cu. Ft.
72" roller at 50.38 / Cu. Ft.

These numbers are based on Harbor Freights stated Cubic Inch capacity. So I would imagine a good coupon on the 56" top box would make it about the same value as the 44" box.

Can't help, but looking forward to the results. I wish they would publish the area (in square inches) of the drawers as well as volume. You can only stack tools so deep so the area is more important when I'm comparing.

Agreed, I had the same wish. Square inches (of drawer area) would be a much more useful metric than volume (cubic ft/inches).

Just curious. Is that solely because of the math? I need as much work surface as I can get, so I'm probably going without a top. Plus I always put stuff on top of the top box.

No, I didn't decide on the 56 strictly based on math. Like ctgoodman said, the 44" combo is the winner in the strict calculation of cost-per-cubic-inch. But the 56 is not far behind in cost-per-cubic-inch.

For the 44, the narrower and shallower drawer layout is much more restrictive and less useful, IMO. That was what struck it off of my list.

I like the 56 much more for the multiple full-length drawers, in addition to the extra depth. The 56 gives modularity options, so I can add either the 7 drawer side box, or the large side cabinet if needed. (you could do this with the 44 or 56, but not so much with the 72).

The 72 has nearly the same storage configuration as a 56+7 drawer side box, but you have the large worktop with the 72. In my case, I have a fairly spacious workbench already, so I saw no advantage to the extra cost-per-cubic-inch of the 72.

That's how I settled on the 56+top combo.

Yes, I would like to add another evaluation based on square inches of the drawers and the flip up areas of the top boxes. For me it would be a mix of both. Right now I have a Snap-on box that I bought off of craigslist. I find the drawers too shallow. some of my larger screwdrivers rub the bottom of the drawer above it. I can't stack some of my large channel locks that i have two identical without it interfering with another drawer.

Hmmm.. Will if some people would provide me the inside length and width of the drawers for the 26, 44, 56, and 72 I would certainly put that in my analysis and post it. Trying to figure out if i can make that as a Google doc or something so it can be updated and kept current with retail and coupon/sale prices.

Wait...so the 44" box has been as low as $249?

I was going to pick this box up during BF for $349, should i wait or is that a typo?

thanks!

Yes I do believe this is a typo. The usual coupon is 369.99 and the BF sale is $349.99. There was a point when you could get one for under $300 with a coupon but that was several years and price increases ago.

Just to be clear, the person I was responding to was asking about the 44-inch TOP chest. And the coupon was for $249. Not a typo. It's regularly $290.
