Dropped to $99.00 the other week and I picked one up. Its back up to $139.00 but it seems like a good saw for little money if you're looking to use a coupon.

I was behind a fella yesterday that wanted to use a coupon on a Bauer grinder and the cashier told him that in the small print it said the coupons didn't apply to the Bauer products. In her defense, she did look through two fliers looking for a better price for him!

it's something to be aware of with all the new "name brands" that HF is selling. Used to be, what, just welders, boxes and the trencher that were excluded. Now it's beginning to be like the end of a car commercial...

but humorously, welding stuff is now 20% off, permanently...

Im pretty sure im going to have to buy their HD Large Welding Cabinet 259.99 from $299.99. I looked it over today and it's very sturdy. Plan to house my Dynasty/cooler and WIA 150s MIG on it.

No!!!!!!!!! :dunno:

Vulcan is permanently 20% off since they issued a coupon that says "no expiration date". It's on the homepage of lefty's site. Use that instead and save $20.

$300 - $60 = $240

Out the $20 you save into new wheels and casters. And adjust a shelf (or take one out more likely) in order to get a helmet (or two) in there. But that's all probably discussed in a thread over in General Tools...

The 90amp flux welder is on a new price of $79.97, no coupon needed. Not sure how long that price is good for, guess they are clearing out the Chicago Electric model?

Also note that you can use the Vulcan 20% coupon as well as a regular 20% coupon (On a different item), during the same visit.

Thinking about picking up the 16pc Forstner bit set. Anyone know the history of these and if they go on sale very often? If not I'll just use the 20% off coupon.

I know that when you buy it at whatever price, you should inspect it extra-carefully in the store. I remember at least one reviewer on it complaining of some bits being malformed, missing the cutting teeth.

Well it's between these and the WEN 16pc set from HD. That set gets great reviews but I have to order it for pickup. Hard to inspect that way so I want to look at these first.

New HF Coupon Policy ?????

I bought a Berger 400 amp ground clamp (63849) at HF today and submitted a 20% off coupon to be applied to the purchase. Upon leaving the store I noticed the 20% off coupon was not applied to the purchase. I asked the sales clerk about this and was told the 20% off coupon could not be used
for welders or any welding supplies. I was told that this was programmed
into the HF computers and that there was nothing she could do. I asked to
speak to the store manager and was told the same thing by her and that
there was nothing she could do. In the past I have purchased several of
these clamps and was always able to use a 20% coupon.

Has anybody else experienced this?

They do have a coupon that is specific to the welding supplies now but its branded for the Vulcan "supplies" only I think and separate from the normal 20 %.

"No expiration date"! Wow, that's a commitment for the life of the brand!

"Original coupon must be presented."

although it doesnt say surrendered . . . .

when they want to stop it, that is where they will go "sorry, the code isn't good enough.", " sorry, this is a copy/printout, not an original coupon".

I usually just take a picture and show it to them on my phone so they can scan it. I use the same code over and over until it expires...

The hftqpdb.com site is built on the premise that most people have no problem using photos of HF coupons on their phones. Because HF themselves sends out digital coupons, they can't make a rule against those, regardless of possible nitpicky ways to reinterpret the fine print.

I just always make sure to download the photo of the one I want to use from hftqpdb to my phone before going to the register; opening it in the gallery viewer lets you make it fill the screen better than in the browser, and it avoids the possibility of a cashier making a fuss about what website it's on (I heard of that happening to one person).

getting a rain check from my local HF is a nightmare and the store manager is an old fart that just hates life.

Tried to buy the 750 engine stand with my 25% coupon on the last day. They claim not to have any instock (cashier said they never have them). Finally got them to cave, not just waiting on them to go onsale to use the 25% coupon again.

Anyone see another Bremen pliers coupon? I just bought three yesterday with the most recent coupon that I've seen, and after using them last night they're a descent item in my book. I was going to buy more with the coupon but noticed it expired yesterday (1/31).

Like this? It's on their website now.

Found it buried in the "What's New" page (instead of the regular coupons page), in a terrible format for posting coupons (clicking on it takes you to the product page; only mousing over it shows the full size temporarily). Managed to snag the link to the full-size version. Unfortunately it doesn't include the one with the swivel jaws I was interested in, but just about every other model is there.
