I saved the picture to my phone then showed it to the clerk. He scanned it and it worked. YAY

Got the cabinet in the shop and installed the casters. I have 2 of the old style 54" Roll Cabs. They look to be much better. These new style have weaker looking casters, and the bottom where they bolt through the cabinet is not as solid. Bummer, but still a great price on this cabinet. Probably find a need to buy another. I went with blue for this one, so far I like the color change.

Unless you have a very very light ****** such as a Miata 5 speed, I would avoid the 450 lb scissor style jack. I used the 800 lb jack on my T56 and it was a struggle but some of the features such as tilt and roll were helpful when putting it back in. Ideally, you would make some sort of plate to act as a cradle to form a mirror image of the bottom of the ****** and then a flat underside to sit nicely (and safely, I had the ****** nearly fall on my arm) on the jack's pedestal. Also, the handle swivels around so that you can get to it from both sides. I think I would have burned my garage down if I was using that little scissor jack.

My Craftsman from nearly 20 years ago still works but slowly bleeds down and lifts very slowly, not to mention the short height. In my experience all unexpired coupons found at www.hfqpdb.com have worked in the stores.

Most/all HF coupons found at Garage Journal likely were found at www.hfqpdb.com.

Coupons with the lowest prices aren't found in their mailers, emails or website. Coupons found in car magazines often offer lower prices than what HF lists on their site, mailers or email promotions.

As has been frequently mentioned you can add the item to your cart on www.harborfreight.com and apply the code to see if it works. If it works at www.harborfreight.com it'll work in the store.

Depends on the store. I’ve never seen a dock, but one of my stores has a separate storage building where they pulled my 44. A trailer is easier than a pickup since it’s lower. They sent out two guys and they lifted it only my trailer.

Some guys have gotten damaged boxes, so you make want to peak before you leave. I have a few of their boxes and never had an issue.

never seen a dock. they have a forklift. they'll load the box in whatever you bring.

i agree on the peek inside. i think one of mine was damaged in the box, which looked perfect on the outside.

Unboxed enough of it while in the pickup to check for noticeable damage then replaced enough of the box to protect it from the straps I used to secure it.

I removed the drawers in order to make it lighter before unloading it at home. Still a two person job to unload. I lubed all the drawer slides as I reinstalled the drawers.

I removed the US General sticker/emblems including the sticker on the inside of the lid on the top chest. I put a coat of Collinite Super Doublecoat on before shoving it against the wall and loading my tools. Knowing me that'll probably be the only coat of wax it ever gets.

Still happy with it after several years.

The last time I went to Harbor Freight, they told me that I have to install the casters and handles myself.

It looks like they give you a wooden pallet with each tool chest.

Also, I looked at the instruction manual link. It describes assembly of the casters but not what size wrench/socket to use. Anyone know?

Likewise, I couldn't find a description of the maximum drawer weight and total weight that it can hold.

Thoughts about this new Craftsman on sale for $275?

It looks like they give you a wooden pallet with each tool chest?

it has been my experience that the "pallet" is a laminated structure that is stapled together, and barely holds together.

nothing worthwhile for anything else.

The only assembly is adding the side handle. The box sits on its casters and is fully assembled otherwise.
