I'm still seeing hard print HF coupons in magazines. I guess it's a race to see what disappears first, magazines, or HF coupons. :bounce:

You should scan them and share with the group. Even hfqpdb is running low on coupons!

I've been getting digital copies of magazines and adding the coupons from them to the database. So they are likely already there, but by all means means, yes please upload what you have!

Does anyone know if the large welding cart ever goes on sale or has coupons? Looks like the HF coupon thing has ended for the overall discount.

If the large welding cart is Vulcan you need to use the 20% off Vulcan coupon

OK, I didn't say they were good coupons...but they are coupons. :dunno:

I had other magazines but the coupons were already expired. Some were expired within a week or two of receipt of the magazines which certainly differs from the past when many had 6-9 months before they expired.

So the new option is the ITC, so now it's going to boil down to paying extra to get a discount on their Chunk. LOL

Reminds me of the ****** 90 day warranty...To get a warranty close to what the top brands offer you have to pay extra for the HF extended warranty...Bringing the total price close to equal of just buying the top brand in the first place.

:p

FWIW I'm still not convinced the coupons are going away, that rumor has not been confirmed from any official source AFAIK.

HF emailed me another coupon this week and there is no indication that will not continue. I have not seen the free coupons, though, the emailed coupons seem to be targeted percent off coupons.

I just talked to customer service regarding a tool that was missing a critical part. The subject of coupons came up. He told me they stopped the coupons for pandemic reasons, they didn't want people handing over a bunch of coupons to the cashiers, etc and possibly transmit the corana to them.

Just the messenger here.

$35 for two years seams fairly reasonable.
If you can pay with a gc maybe look for a deal there.

That's funny...I'm sure some people actually believe it. Germs transmit thru the laser barcode scanner? :Freak:

I took that to mean that the guy that prints off a coupon or cuts a paper version out, the carries either in their pocket for 6 days while licking fingers, picking nostrils, and scratching balls while shouting that Covid-19 is not real science in line a HF are the basis for the coupons being put on hold. Not that scanners transmit the virus.

More like Actual Facts, since I keep getting coupons, there is no official confirmation, and the only source of the rumor is sites that need to drive traffic for revenue. This would not be the first time they started rumors to create controversy and traffic.

I've been shopping at HF since 2005/6 and I just bought the ITC. I think it is worth it depending how much you shop there. What made it worth it for me was the "extra coupon" deals. IE the times when you can 30% off one item vs general public was 25% I believe. I was reconfiguring my shop at that time and ended up buying 3-4 tool boxes during that sale so buying the ITC and saving the extra 5% paid for itself and save me extra.

Also like the sales they run 30% off for items up to $10 but ITC members get 30% off up to $20. That deal also makes it worth having the ITC membership. But I use these coupon days to really stock up so on the "littles" that arent worth going to HF for one item.

PS im also the guy that will never paid retail for anything at HF. I'll just wait and come back, so majority of my purchases are pre-planned buys.

realistically just ask yourself how much you shop there and if you can recoup the $35? fee ($45 online for 2 years + $10 gift card)

Are there any deals on the 26" tool boxes now? I think I'll one of those who wouldn't benefit from it normally as I tend to buy a few little things each year like nitrile gloves but that's about it. Looking to buy some tool boxes now though, so if there's a substantial discount, that would offset the membership cost I would go for it.

I believe $279 is about the cheapest you'll be able to get them unless you wait for one of those super coupons 25% off one item with no exclusions but they only come a handful of times a year? (I only recall once in 2020) but that will be off the original $399 price tag so it will wont be better. The last time the boxes were at $$249 was end of 2019 IIRC

PS I have 4 of these cabinets so I've been keeping an eye out for the pricing...

I wasn't really upset having ordered them at the $299 price tag. But I like saving a little money. I didn't expect them to let me apply the coupon to both boxes I ordered since it says limit 1, but the manager wrote me a rain check to refund the $20 per box when they come in which I was thankful for. I only ordered 2 for now though because I want to make sure I'm happy with them stacked this way. Pretty sure I will be, but better to make sure than to be unhappy with them.

Managers can do a lot of things if you ask them nicely. About 3 years ago, when they were releasing Series 2 boxes, I saw a 26 inch Series 1 top and bottom floor display at my local store. Top had keys but the bottom was locked and they did not have a key.

I talked to the manager and walked out of the store with both top and bottom boxes, a matching magnetic glove box holder and a two year membership of ITC for a total, including tax, of $250.

I picked the lock on the bottom and bought a new lock and key from HF for about $10.

They have added "Instant Savings", but since they have continued to email coupons and flyers, there does not currently seem to be any change.

Are you not able to see the online flyers and are you not receiving the emailed coupons?

Damn, didn't realize HF was pivoting their coupon strategy.

Haven't been a regular HF customer for years and now was going to pickup a motorcycle lift table, and coupons seem to be super rare now.

Yeah used to use hfcoupons.com and now there isn't much on there. Good thing I have 30 of their free tape measures and many of their flashlights to keep in my vehicles too. Still a deal but not free anymore.

I’ll question how good those previously free and now cheap tape measures might be. Few years ago I was using one at the miter saw while another guy measured and installed trim. Pieces weren’t fitting. My cuts weren’t off; his Stanley FatMax measurements were different from the HF free tape.

Checked 3 or 4 of the HF tapes I had: none were consistent in where the end clip was attached to the tape.

How different were the measurements? The tolerance seems to be around 1/16" for tape measures, so with any brand using two different tape measures, even the same brand and model, could give you up to a 1/8" difference.
