After lots of debate I bought this: http://www.harborfreight.com/garage...ss/12-speed-bench-drill-press-60237-8909.html I've worked it pretty hard for about a year now and aside from the handles loosening up I haven't had a single issue.

Click to expand... Teflon plumber's tape on the threads of the handles where they screw into the mount will take care of those loose handles readily. Easy and quick to do.

Not going to lie to you, I'd have rather found a used Craftsman/Rockwell/Clausing/etc to restore, but there weren't any on offer, at the time... Still, I can't say that they're not worth what Harbor Freight is charging for them... Decent...not great...but decent...
