Has anybody used one of these? How about with a zero turn mower? I think it should work but just wanted opinions/reviews.

There are 3 different item numbers. Not sure if there is much difference.

Here's the new mower. Cut with it once so far and love it so much better than my old lawn tractor. I got the front steer because I have a lot of slopes.

I have one as well and use it with a zero turn. I like it and would buy it again.

Simple in design, but I sure wouldn't trust my life with anything from HF. Make sure you put some jack stands underneath before you climb under it. Even a couple hundred pound lawn mower will do some serious damage landing directly on your skull.

Further more, how often are you going to use something like this? As a homeowner, even if you used the lift every time you used the mower, that's only a few times a month. The rest of the time and year it's wasted storage space. As a landscaper, I use a floor jack with jack stands or I use my loading ramps to drive machine up partially if/when I need to lube, change/sharpen blades, clean out under deck, etc....

I have used it for three years and it works fine. I would never get under something without Jack stands or a lock pin which is provided. It won't lift anything to heavy but it handles my zero turn just fine. I use it every time I mow

I'm thinking about one, but I have a heavier Ford yard tractor, so I wanted to lift the front end with the engine hoist and scales, to see how much is being lifted, since the unit is limited to 300#.

They get high customer ratings, based on a large number of entries.

I did see they are rates pretty good. I just wanted to get some opinions from here. I'm always just a bit skeptical of product reviews on a company's own website. Never know if they are censoring a bunch of negative reviews.

Yeah it would likely only be used sparingly. Oil changes, blade sharpening, etc. I just like the convenience of it, roll it over, few pumps of the foot, set the safety, done.

I do understand the argument about storage space. Will have to consider that.

So do you use jack stands with it or do you feel safe with the lock pin?

I bought one and the pump was totally screwed up. I checked fluid and bled air and it worked once and quit again. I returned it and the first words out of the employees mouth were "bad pump?". There are many reviews saying the pump does not last. They want to sell you an extended warranty and that is the only service you can get because their are no replacement parts for it or anything else they sell for under $400. It is either 90 days, lifetime or paid for extended coverage; no parts. The thing was put together with class 4 metric bolts. I didn't know that such a low rating existed. The lowest graded metric bolts in the big box stores are class 7. That is real assuring on a jack. It is only rated for 300 lbs and I have seen complaints that it would not pick up heavier mowers. I went to TSC and bought the Mojack that they sell under the Cub Cadet label. It has 26" of lift vs 24" and 550 lb rating vs 300. It is on sale right now for $159. It is much cheaper than an $89 jack that won't lift anything.

It folds flat with the removal of a bolt. That is the good news. Read my post for the bad news.

HF does publish the poor reviews, I have posted several. When I look at the reviews I re-align them with the worst reviews first. After reading a dozen I decide if I want to read any of the more positive reviews.

Note well that SOME people will post a poor review based on nothing more than a tear in the shipping carton or a sag in the paint job. Another big item in poor reviews is the lousy instructions that accompany almost everything from HF.
One that I have found is the poor quality of nuts and bolts included. For me, if the specific item is okay and a good price I will gladly substitute better nuts and bolts and still wind up with a less expensive tool than if I had gone elsewhere. I bought two of the cheaper four-legged grinder stands and the bolts would stretch before they tightened. Replacing ONLY the bolts gave me some very good (in my opinion) stands.

I've had one for a couple of years now and use it a couple of times a year to switch from mulching to bagging blades. I really like the convenience. I just store it directly behind the mower in the garage. It doesn't take up that much extra room, especially if the mower has the rear bags on it.

I have one. It is so seldom used that when I went to move it yesterday, after sitting outside unused for the last two years, i grabbed the wrong pedal, gave it a pump and thought my pump had went out. I had forgot it has two pedals.

A floor jack and stands are just as fast to use and are multipurpose instead of single purpose. Other than my thinking it useful, wrongfully, I have no complaints as to build or quality.

So...a slight hijack;
What should I make out of my unused mowerlift?
I'm leaning heavily toward one of the bowling ball welding jig/stands, but nothing else comes to mind.

I have one from a different manuf, so I can't offer any feedback on HF. But I use mine all the time, and it's very handy to have. Easy to use, takes almost no storage space, great for a quick scrape of the mower deck.

I think I bought mine from HD, have no idea the brand. It lifts a fairly heavy Bad Boy, with no problems.

After reading many bad reviews, on an item, I will find 4 and a half stars. How does that work? Almost anything you buy can turn into a repair project. It is pretty scary to find class 4 nuts and bolts on a jack that is holding a tractor you plan to crawl under. There are no spares for anything under $400. Whatever warranty the product has gets you an exchange. How would you like to have to drag the several hundred pound 44" tool cabinet back for a replacement, because a drawer slide broke? Lack of product support is a major factor in the low prices, along with the switch to ever cheaper suppliers. Now it is India. I have some of their stuff that has worked out quite well but I try to be very careful about what I buy and I still get burned sometimes. I always look for a more reputable source at a price that is not outrageously higher before shopping there. In some cases, like the rolling stool, their junk is the same as the competition, but for less, so I buy theirs along with a free flashlight.
