OP
The room looks amazing. Thanks Michael B., Pat loves it.
Boostingaz, Thank You, I dont know the brand but they were real popular hear years ago. This area is covered in chicken houses, there are about 160,000 birds right behind my place, the neighbor has a couple of houses.
This particular box was in my neighbors tractor shed, he gave it to me. I took it apart and cleaned and painted it, it is galvanized but we wanted a closer match on the paint. It is old enough that the nuts holding it together were square!
I did find this on a google search, https://www.hogslat.com/farmstead-10-hole-chicken-egg-laying-nest-fs301
It looks close to mine.
Kirk, that's what I was going to say. I looked hard at that second photo for signs of veneer but it looks like it's solid!Real wood?

Welder, dose yours make fruit?
I dont know much about these trees but I really didnt expect to see fruit on them. We are going to add to the soil and put some chicken litter around them to see if we can boost it a little next year. We bought a couple of kumquat trees to add to the tropical look of that bed.

Basic landscaping tool..Jim, if the bedsprings don't fit the frame, I saw a documentary once where a man named Red Green turned one into a giant bug zapper...
