The flooring company called today, said they will be at the lodge at 8:00 in the morning to install the new floor!
So I am finishing up the painting and patching on the ceiling!

I bought 10 gallons of paint a couple of weeks ago and started painting, I didn't think it would be enough to paint the entire ceiling but it did! So I had to go back and fix the joint that has came loose over the years.

I have to finish this and touch up around the lights then I can get the scaffolding moved out tonight.

35'x 50', $8,000. Elite flooring in Cleveland did the work.
We were going to tile it ourselves but the tile and glue was right at 7,000 before tax, I like this much better!

We decided it was time to install partitions in the men's room, of course that means that we need blocking in the wall!

Nothing like coming in at the 11th hour!

I'll skim coat again in the morning.
Time to start painting trim.

I have been busy with non picture worthy ****! Painted the living room ceiling, marked off the walls at the lodge, getting ready for drywall, mowed the grass, boring stuff!

We did have a good time Saturday at the Cleveland fastner car show, made some good contacts, ran into a lot of old friends.
Jim, we'll take anything. We're easily entertained.

Well the Geniuses at the lodge have decided that since we painted the ceiling and paid 8,000 dollars to have a new floor put in that we should drywall the room! I brought this up before construction was started!!!

It took us four hours to get it hung and cleaned up.
Now it's up to me to tape and mud it.
I went to the Dr. on Thursday, he started me on a new medicine, Im flat out on my back today. I am going to give it one more day then we are going to try something else.

I got the tape and first coat on yesterday, I was surprised to see the bil showed up to help.
We added about another 100 screws and had to set about half of the screws already installed, they were sticking out a bit. They covered over one of the outlets so we had to pull that sheet off to find it.
In the second Pic, to the left you can see the piece missing, we are going to enlarge the filter grill to a 24x30, when the A/C is running it roars and its hard to hear at times.

Had surgery on my nose Monday, they have straws and popsicle sticks crammed up in it. Doc said no bending, stay out of the shop, no scaffolding! How the hell is a guy supposed to relax then!!!
Did he also tell you not to sneeze? - sounds like that could be painful.
If that's a sinus surgery, those can be painful as hell. Take care and I hope it heals fast!
Jim, sorry to hear about the stuff up your nose. My first surgeon back in 1973 put the popsicle sticks up there along with a couple of rolls of gauze. Avoid all of the stuff the Doc mentioned and as Jeff suggests, if you have to sneeze (and trust me, you will) make sure your mouth is wide open. I forgot to do that in that first surgery and the gauze started coming out. It was a Sunday so instead of calling for permission, I pulled the gauze out. Talk about a weird feeling -- not to mention a wastebasket full of ****** gauze. I left the popsicle sticks where they were (sutures connect the two).

@Mr.zippy, my two sinus surgeries were not pleasant but for some reason not terribly painful. What you should prepare yourself for is some very unpleasant follow-up sessions. The suction tube and other stuff the Doc is going to shove up your nose is way longer than I thought it would be. Pretty sure he sucked some hair from the top of my head. The other device that might show up is alligator forceps. These come in different sizes...

...and if the Doc pulls out the big one, I suggest you do what Liane does to her doctors and dentists. She puts her hand on them and moves it slowly down while whispering "If you don't hurt me, I won't hurt you."

I thought that I had broken my nose when I was a kid but the mri said no, there are membranes that humidify the air in there that the Doc said were overgrown and the air couldn't get around them, so he trimmed them down. The pain isn't too bad, I didn't fill the oxycodone script, just stayed with the hydros that I am already taking, I feel like doing something but tire fast so I'm catching up on my TV, on demand is pretty cool. I found some tool boxes on marketplace that I want but Pat said sit down! Going Friday to get the sticks out.
I did sneeze once, it's hard to open your mouth and sneeze.

I haven't been feeling well lately so I haven't been doing much except resting and watching TV. My neighbors across the road are getting ready to move here permanently from up state NY and asked if I knew someone who could paint the inside of there garage before they start moving in there things. So I called Ruden to come and paint.

Thanks Terry, prospector.
Kirk, 6-71 injectors!
My BP was 96/53 this morning, every time I stood up the world started spinning! What a ride! Got better by lunch, I helped Pat paint the living room in between running across the road to get pics of progress for my neighbors.

Well, they got it finished today. They did a great job, I'm relieved because the last two contractors my friends hired, screwed them. I didn't want to be part of the third time.
I'm jealous of this shop also, two really large bays up top and that monster bay on the lower level, the old man that lived there before worked on cars and big rigs, when he quit big trucks he installed the lift.
Im going to the lodge tomorrow, going to try to sand some drywall.
