Don, so am I.
We have a 26' camper parked in the back yard, primarily for the grandaughter to escape to for her quiet time, she has some issues from a past relationship, she was abused pretty bad.
The RV has proven difficult to maintain in the winter so it's time for it to go. I knew almost from the beginning that it wasn't a good fit but it was something that I could park and use right away so we bought it.
My son and his family come to visit and they have to rent a cabin in Chattanooga when they are here. Pat's daughter and son in law visit every couple of weeks and they use the camper. This cabin should have been the first option. I'm hoping lots of family will use it.
It is a full 14' wide and 40' long it will have a bedroom, a full bathroom, living room, kitchen, and a loft bedroom. I'm going tomorrow to do the paperwork, if all goes well then I come home and start taking the RV out and prepping the site. Hoping all goes well.

Sounds like a great plan, and that it'll get a ton of use. Now Uncle Willie and Pines will have a place to stay when they come to look at their truck. Seriously, it sounds like a good plan.

That is a big shed.......

As for the engine, if it looks stock, then it isn't an LT1, but they could have used LT1 parts with the Vortec intake setup. You never know what people do to vehicles, the stories are always fun though!

A true LT1 would look like this:

Another engine that was a popular swap would be the L98 Engine TPI (Tuned Port Injection), it looks like this:

The LT1 was the last of the performance engines that had low end peak torque, after that they all had to be revved up like European engines. I was not a fan of anything newer than the LT1, the power was there, but it didn't feel the same when you were just driving around town, I don't like engines where the peak torque and horsepower are at the same RPM.

Strouty, mine looks like every other truck under the hood, nothing like a vette. I've had enough of them! It's all as it came from the factory, guess it's just a good running truck
Kirk, yes, just the two in the front for now, that's stock for this company. We will add and replace as we go.
Kev, I'll let you know when it is ready!

First order of business is to seal the camper roof and put the rv toilet back in so we can sell it. I'll need to work with the transport company to schedule a delivery date for the building. I'm responsible for the site so if its muddy and someone gets stuck it's on me. I want to get the building set as soon as I can but the basement project will be finished before we do too much on the cabin.

Yes, I have a list that I'm sure will not be completed in my lifetime.
My Idea was to get the house projects done this year then next year I could build my truck and not be bothered, the plan was good but I got soft and let a couple other things onto the list, the chicken coop was something I liked at my old place so it got on the list easy, the RV was a mistake from day one, I worked for an RV dealership when I was young I knew better but I did it anyway, it got parked and it was done, ready to move in, RVs are a lot of maintenance, big mistake, so the cabin is what I should have done first so it got put on the list.
Plan is to get the RV cleaned and prepped to sell, take the car port apart and store it for a while. Then when the ground is dry enough have the cabin set. Then go back to the basement and finish it while I source parts for the cabin. I really want the basement done, that will give Pat a place to do her canning and other things she dose, it is our storm shelter and will be more comfortable to stay in, and it will give me a place to keep my wine making tools.
Too much to do but I'm going to eat it one bite at a time.
One thing happened today that might help, my nephew might want the RV as is, it would be great if I didnt have to put the RV toilet and holding tank back in it

Agreed Kirk, If we cant have a place to laugh a little, it's time to go.
I have sealed the RV roof and washed the outside, Pat has started cleaning the inside. We have been busy with the prep work for the upcoming car show this weekend.

We made all of the trophies, I am going to pick up some of them today at powder coat and put the mylar lables on them, pics to follow.
Gavin is Daltons son, he traded for a mini bike and wants to enter it in the show, we promote youth all that we can and he asked if I could redo his seat.

This is what we started with.

I cut some foam and some vinyl.

A couple pieces for the side panels.

I put some 1" roll and pleat in the top panel. He chose the white.
I haven't seen the frame but he loves the gulf oil GT40s so blue and orange color scheme. He said he was going to come over and help wash Pat's jeep so she would take it to the show.20211013_094236.jpg
