Kirk I keep thinking I'm going to find the bottom of the barrel if I keep moving.

Keegster I used to spend a lot of time in Nashville, back when Broadway wasnt so busy, I always like to show my friends Tootsies and explain the significance it has to the Ryman. One thing is for sure, you never know what Ill put on here!

Got the pantry back together, Pat couldn't wait, She had to get her groceries back in while I was hanging doors, she finished the paint on the walls, we have a little trim to paint and we'll be done with this project.
Dalton called me today and said he wasn't liking the blue powder for my trike, he said it was translucent and the basecoat would play a big part in the finish! I told him I trust his taste in color so do what he would do if it was his!!! He said whiskey Bronze would be his choice, so whiskey bronze it is!

Donnie had to spend the day at the powder coat shop, so I stayed home and worked on my welding table.
20240410_125017.jpg
I ordered a 48"x 120" piece of 1/4" plate for the top.
20240410_124108.jpg
I received a 48"x 96" piece, the man said he misunderstood me and cut off 24", so I cut 24" off my frame.
20240410_143348.jpg
It's all good, at least I have a table back, I want to check the flatness of the frame before I put the top on it, I trying to achieve total flatness!

Thanks guys, I appreciate the support. I have been busy this past week, a friend called and asked if I still had the original frame for my 64, I sold him the frame and a 70 C10 frame I had filed away in the woods, while we were loading the frames on his trailer he asked about my 64, I put a price on it and he came back the next day and got it also.

Good bye old friend.
Now I have to clean the shop and reorganize things.
One more car to get out of the shop.

Not much interesting to report this week, I have been helping Pat paint the bedroom, Pat cleans an air bnb near our home and it has been keeping her busy, she has had to clean it four times in the past couple weeks, and she will have to clean it today so no painting today, I get to mow instead, after I put on a new set of blades.

We started on a new trike that will be all electric, neither of us know much about electric so we started with what we had then ordered some more parts, they are supposed to be here Monday,

So we decided to do a retro 50s styled trike while we are waiting on parts, Donnie and I are both into the 50s stuff so it had to happen. It will have a lot of white trim and of course it will have baby moons.
Me and the bil went estate saleing (as we call it) Saturday,

I found this for $150 bucks,

it has the kohler 20 hp motor, it needs a carb and battery, I got a new carb for $14.00 on ebay it will be here Wednesday, the guy changed the oil and filters, drained and flushed the gas tank and still couldn't get it to idle so he gave up.

It is hydrostatic drive, with a little cleaning it should be a decent flip.

I changed the blades and mowed the yard.

The solonid hung up on my little truck and wouldn't stop cranking so I had to smack it with a Cresent wrench! I ordered a new one it will be here Wednesday, I took the lawn mower battery out of it and put the correct one in it, the charging system can't keep that big battery charged, so then I put the lawn mower battery in the new rider, it fit and cranks fine.

Pat ask if I could make her some raised beds for some veggies.
20240505_195858.jpg
These are plastic barrels and pallet lumber, I like free, so now I have to build a total of four, since I have two barrels.
It's supposed to rain every day next week so I'm not really sure what will or won't get done.

Nice job on the raised beds. I would think the biggest thing with the ET would be the motor controller. Gonna need something that won't hurt everything when the motor becomes a generator on the slow down.

We bought a vevor 2000w motor that came with a controller for our first build hoping that would simplify things, we're definitely looking for a place to learn how to do it the right way. I read several groups on fb, some of those guys really know how to put components together, way over my head.

Back to painting the house today, we're working on the master br. I painted the ceiling last week today.
20240507_155720.jpg
I reassembled the ceiling fans and spackled the bad spots on the walls. The temp got up to 85 so after lunch I went out and serviced the HVAC unit.
20240507_155641.jpg
And finally we turned the A/C on for the first time this year. I had to get the pancake compressor and a trim nailer and renail one of the windows trim and some baseboards. Pat is painting I am trying to fix and clean ahead of her.

I hate those ACs. Weird parts, none a standard design. They were touted as a way to get AC in a hydronic house. Then the trailer companies picked them up, and standardization n quality went out the window.

Thanks Prospector, we do put a lot of time into it, we don't travel or vacation so we put it in the house.

Kay, they are what everyone here uses. The house I built in McDonald had a split unit, more like what is used up north, I would prefer that but retrofitting this house would be almost impossible. And yes, I have to fix it often. I will probably replace it next year, it's 12 years old.

Pat is painting, I'm cleaning the garage today!
