Thanks Jay, feeling much better.
Yes it's kind of exploded on me. I figured on selling maybe 25 a year, didn't want to get back into full time work! We have to build 11 frames and one complete electric trike just for this week. We took on another dealer and we're supplying him with frames also. I need to find a buyer and sell the whole mess!

Not mine! I hate pools. Wet hole in the ground that you throw money at.
Feeling much better, several of the guys at the lodge got it, 48 hrs of hell then gone like nothing happened.

We finished building frames yesterday, then we loaded the trailer.
now we're ready for the spring Rod Run in Pigeon forge, April 10-12. Other than building an electric trike on Tuesday we should be done for a while, I hope.

20250323_131300.jpg
I started in the basement, I harvest most of my seed from vegetables that we are about to cook, if it looks and tastes good, I keep the seed, some I get from my Dr., She dose the same and we trade seeds, I do buy some seed, not many though.
20250323_142339.jpg
I had to haul the frame pieces up here with the tractor, it got pretty heavy.
20250323_142347.jpg
One of the end panels.

And this is where I ran out of gas!
Tomorrow I will finish the corners and line it with tin on the inside.

Have you ever had one of those days!
Well I did today. I got up early, ate breakfast, drank lots of coffee, all the usual stuff. Went outside, got the tractor and hooked to the dump trailer,(Preface) A friend borrowed the dump trailer for a week, and brought it back with a load of top soil for my raised bed garden! Well it's was wet clay and it stuck in the trailer! I spent an hour trying to get it out, no Bueno! Went to Donnies and got him to drag it with the mini X, no Bueno! So I shoveled some of it until I was too tired to keep going! So I decided that there was only a section in the front and I needed dirt so I went to Jackie Evans and got two yards of potting soil! Well it's stuck to the wet clay and would not come out either! So! More shoveling!!! F,ing dirt!20250327_131114.jpg
So I put some of the clay in the bottom, then shoveled more of the mix into the box.
20250327_152643.jpg
I got it filled up and leveled, I did wet it in layers as I filled it.
20250327_183607.jpg
I finished the corners and added a top cap to finish it off.
20250327_183614.jpg
Pat couldn't wait to get it planted.
Then I went to tractor supply to get two new trailer tires, they showed them on the website at 119 dollars, well at the store they were 300 something each! I said no thanks and headed to discount tire! 103 each, mounted and balanced! Pat wanted some onion sets so I went to four different stores to get them, and they didn't know what an onion set was! Two of them were Ace hardware stores! So no Bueno on the onions today! It took me all day to fill the raised bed planter with dirt and run all over town trying to find stuff only to be told NO!
Well here I sit, watching the steaks grill with an adult beverage in my hand complaining to all of you about the idiots in my life! Not what I expected the day to turn out to be!
Guess it's time to take them off the grill and try to make it to the house!

Jayman thanks, they did come out nice. The big one was made completely from scrap. Pat planted some onions today.

T444e, yea! He said it was top soil! It was pure clay, almost like modeling clay. As the teeth on the mini X cut through it it was like it healed itself. We put it in the sun for a day and finally got most of it out. It will never go back there again.
20250323_131300.jpg
Were going to start putting this out next week. I will keep a piece of plastic handy, just in case.

Got a new set of tires on my trailer yesterday.
20250328_184922.jpg
One kept loosing air so I pulled them off to go get new tires, and found one was a 15 and the other was a 14. It was cheaper to go to tractor supply and buy them mounted.
I spent the day with the BIL! Finally building his new garage! Was so busy I forgot pics. I'll get some tomorrow.

Planter looks great Jim. I feel you on the onion sets. Wife and I went looking for seed potatoes a couple days ago and got a few blank looks and a couple of clerks looking up "potato seeds" on the computer and told us they didn't carry them. Later we found them inside the store in a bin.

Larry, My old back is loving it, Right now I can sit on the edge! Getting lazy!

Welder, I went to home depot and before I could finish asking, the kid was texting his app, and told me the isle location of seeds, I didn't even bother trying to explain!
I need to make something for sweet potatoes, Pat said she had about 20 left over from last year,
Interesting thing about the sweet potatoes, we buy them from a man that goes to Mississippi every year and brings back a trailer load, a lot of them are white inside, but are sweeter than the orange colored ones. I'm going to try to cultivate the white ones. Could you imagine a white sweet potato pie!

Is the sweet potato thing a regional thing? Around here the orange colored ones are yams and the sweet potatoes are a white/pale yellow color. Are the ones you guys calling sweet potato really what I call a yam?

Confusion with Sweet Potatoes:
In the United States, "yams" often refer to sweet potatoes, which are not closely related to true yams.
Botanical Difference:
True yams belong to the Dioscoreaceae family, while sweet potatoes are in the Convolvulaceae family (morning glory family).

Yep, yams are from Africa and Asia.
They are two different things but are always confused.
A true southern sweet potato is an orange colored flesh almost the same color as a yams but the texture is different, yams are stringier than sweet potatoes.
Screenshot_20250331_205849_Gallery.jpg
White sweet potatoes are a tuberous root vegetable with white flesh and golden skin, and are drier and less sweet than orange sweet potatoes. They have a slightly nutty taste and starchy texture, similar to a white potato. White sweet potatoes can be baked, roasted, mashed, or grilled.

I have had yams and don't really care for them, I can eat them but prefer sweet potatoes!

That’s unfortunate.
i used to occasionally help the neighbor to get garden soil. I would take them there, get a load of soil, and park the truck at their house. They would have to unload it. The following year same deal. Only he tells me when we get back that he only needs half. I tell him it’s all yours. Unload it on his driveway. Third year. Same deal. Only this time he said can he take half load over to another neighbor. I say Ok and leave him the keys. He texts me at 7PM. The other neighbor didn’t have time to unload it and he won’t be able to finish until Sunday evening. I text back. No. Empty it now and bring back my truck. I have plans tomorrow. He does.
I get up Sunday to wash the truck and as I dry it I notice fine scratches all over. I called him and told him the truck had scratches everywhere. He said he didn’t understand. He wiped the truck down with his gloves.
And that ended me helping the neighbors.

Leonard, My philosophy is, No good deed goes unpunished.
Donnie is still upset how his trailer came home.

Hobie, your welcome! 😁

I went to Smokey Mountain Rod and Customs in Knoxville today!
We are partnering with them somewhat this summer. Rob is scheduled to do a show almost every weekend and wants to take a trike with him.
20250307_142310.jpg
We tried it out in Florida and it was fun. We drew a crowd when we loaded the trike onto the truck.
Messenger_creation_387FEDD4-9262-493E-AADF-EE8D14FE41ED.jpeg
So we took this one to them, it's will be in S.Carolina this weekend.

I forgot to post this, it was in the parking lot up in Knoxville yesterday!

It was a rough morning! Had to go to the Dr., just a check up, post office, mailed a package, DMV, renew drivers license and, renew concealed carry permit, barber shop, just a trim, Neeley printing, pickup car show flyers, lowes, laughed at what they wanted for a mail box. Made it back home by 1:00.

We have potatoes growing!
20250402_173039.jpg
I planted some sage!
20250402_172927.jpg
Pat cleaned up the garlic!
20250402_172944.jpg
We planted some squash, three different varieties, we also placed and filled another raised bed, this one will be for herbs and small stuff.
Were going to pick up some more 4x4s tomorrow, we think we can get two more raised beds in there.

Well! I got busy!
I have been chasing my tail again.
20250408_165047.jpg
I mowed then moved the scaffolding, I doubt that I will get anything else done in the cabin this month!
20250408_165037.jpg
It's supposed to frost tonight and tomorrow night so I made greenhouses! The veggies are doing great!
20250408_130623.jpg
The potatoes are growing good!
20250408_165130.jpg
I put the four 4x4s and grape vines out last week, I covered them with old sheets!
20250408_165221.jpg
And the best for last! Been working on the BILs new garage! His car will be gone soon! Insert evil laugh 😈 !
20250408_165300.jpg
It has 12' walls and will have scissor trusses so he can have a lift!

I'm trying to get things done up enough so I can go to the rod run in pigeon forge, I need to leave Thursday morning early!
Won't get home til Sunday!

I love the logo plate, super clean design too. Have you considered selling drift kits? You can sell pvc pipe sleeves that slip over a non inflated tire for a huge mark up.

Looks fun! Many moons ago, I would have laughed at such a thing, as crotch rockets and super fast cars/trucks dominated my thoughts......now.....those things look right up my alley! Like I said Jim, you keep screwing around and you'll work yourself into a more than full time job.....

All of these kids with the squatted trucks they built with daddy's money have focused on the rod run. The old timers can't keep there mouth shut so they fight constantly. Folks are getting tired of it so something will need to change, unfortunately the easy solution is to cancel the show! There is talk.
We did good, sold a lot of trikes in-between the rain. Saturday was the best day. Besides selling a lot of frames we sold one of our demos.
20241031_155450.jpg
Now we have to build another one.
This one is now the pit bike for a drag race team.
When it wasn't raining we were so busy that I never got to go see the show!

The inventory results are in,
First, we have sold five frames since we got home.
Second, we are going to start a branch in Cookeville Tn. So we have to send two complete trikes and three frames there!
Third, we sold a **** ton of everything while we were in pigeon forge!
Total score, we have 73 frames to build 20, kits and 53 welded frames.
(I need indeed!)
We also have an independent dealer in west Virginia, and one in Dalton Georgia who is going to get all of the custom builds.
