Yes, it's sparkly!

Thanks Leonard!

Went to the Doc, he wasn't happy, he said my finger wasn't repaired correctly, so I had to go see a surgeon! He did a little cutting and taping, he said he didn't want to stich it again because it would just tear out again. Got two more antibiotics, it's not infected but this is how they treat people with replacement knees.

Yes, Im sure that didn't help, I tried to sit still but that just dont work, some of the sutures were not in the skin allowing it to open, four of them came out on there own. Not blaming the ER, it's hard to stich shreaded skin back together.
So today I'm sitting in front of the press, bending tiny parts with my right hand!
Thinking about going to look at an old coke machine and a drill press on marketplace!

I know from experience that sometimes it is better to keep parts moving, rather than let them seize up. Likely you know this from your knee replacement experiences.

We took it easy today, I sat at the press and bent fork tabs for a long time. Donnie wanted to build a die table, so he cut out the pans and I welded them together while he cut the legs, then we tag teamed it together. It's 30"Lx 14"Wx 30"H, there are three shelves with 1½" lips, and just for Shorty, it got casters. Then I came home and mowed the lake! I mean lawn. Now I'm sitting in a recliner with ice packs on my hands! Didn't get a response from the drill press, going to go get the coke machine tomorrow!

I took Pat to Ringold Ga. Today, the beets were ready at Brown produce, and she wants to get started with her canning! We got two cases.
Came home and built a trike.
The Lady text me and said to come and get the coke machine, but she wouldn't be there, I would have to deal with her husband, Jonithan!
20250516_185435.jpg
So I called him and we agreed on 5:00.
20250516_185447.jpg
He said this was a flip house and if I saw anything else I wanted just speak up.
20250516_185453.jpg
He had the machine plugged in and it was working.
20250516_185505.jpg
All of the seals are like new.
It had the key and lock insert with the key inside, so all of the important parts were there.
20250516_185513.jpg
Then I spotted this cabinet in the garage.
20250516_185528.jpg
It's completely full of treasures.
20250516_185546.jpg
As we pulled it from under the bench, this AU-VE-CO box was on top of it.
20250516_185552.jpg
It's a Chevrolet interior trim screw box.
20250516_185546 (1).jpg
It's dated 1950,
So I got all three pieces for $100 dollars!

The finger is good the redness and swelling are going down, it's starting to close up a bit. I'm keeping butterfly tape on it to help.
It was a busy day, time to rest!

Zanyad, Im excited to start on the coke machine, when I was a little guy, (back then they called me little Honda Jim) we had the same machine at our church, just another piece of the memories!

Tony, it's getting better,
Thanks for the "you ****" it means a lot! 😂

Mr.zippy, Im having a lot of fun with my finger. When people ask what happened, I hold it up and point it at them and say " I told my wife to get the work done" and she bit it!

going to put the trusses up on the bil's garage. Its not raining so hopfully we can get something done today. These trusses have been sitting here for two weeks.

We did work on the bil's garage yesterday! The rain held off finally!
I kind of cheated, we built the first two trusses on the ground and sat them up with one of Donnies fork trucks.
20250517_182034.jpg
Then we got cleaned up and went to O'REILLYS in Benton, it's a new store and they have started doing a monthly cruise in, so we went to support them.
I did sell some raffle tickets, were raffling a trike to be given away at our car show In September. It will be a trike of the winners choice from what stock is at the show, so the winner has there choice of gas or electric! We raised enough money last year to give the Boys and Girls club of the Ocoee region almost $4,000 dollars to buy Christmas for 107 families. We can do better!

We got 11 trusses up, the weather started to turn so we started picking up tools.
A man called about making a trade for my old tahoe.
20230120_105946.jpg
Pat and I rolled it back in 2013.
20250428_112007.jpg
But this guy wanted it, so we made a deal and now he owns it and a 23 T bucket.
20250103_123137.jpg
It has been bouncing around between owners for 20 years that I know of, me and the bil have owned it 2 or 3 times, maybe it will stay gone this time.
20250518_194008.jpg
And I wound up with this. It's a 93, 350, automatic with cold air!
20250518_194020.jpg
Don't know what I'm going to do with it but something will pop up!

Worked in the garden this morning, pulled weeds and cultivated around everything, it's still really wet. I picked lettuce, onions, and squash. I planted more radishes.
20250519_105318.jpg
Got a tiny tomato!
I conquered my fears and went back to the shop and continued on the engine run stand. I got a bunch done but forgot to take pics.

Remember the safe!
20250519_172304.jpg
I made an executive decision to open it and end the drama!
Actually I just want it out of my way so first it had to be opened.
20250519_173649.jpg
So now we know! I was hurting to bad to continue so I quit for today. Tomorrow I'll look at the lock and determine what's next. I'm in a house cleaning mood so a bunch of stuff is going to go bye bye!
