I spent a few days at the lodge, there were four if us there all day Monday just cleaning and tossing junk. Dude and me went one day and installed the project I built earlier, Jeff and me will go there tomorrow and put new feet on the folding chairs, they were delivered today. I was there several more times, by myself.

I worked on Pats truck today.

I finished some more of the dash.

The po had installed this radio here, its not the factory location, but it will be ok for now.
20260618_184803.jpgI got most of the parts cleaned, not perfectly clean, but not bad for all of the red Georgia clay that was on everything.

The radio is working but the speakers are not, Im going to Google the wireing harness tonight and see if I can find another plug or some reason four speakers are not working. I jumpered a speaker onto the back of the radio and it worked.

The courtesy lights under the dash wouldn't work, I got the one on the right working, I had to replace the left one.

I finally finished all of the lodge business, we had a good meeting yesterday and Jeff is now a master mason!
So today I worked in my yard, I had to mow, I had to pick the garden, we got about a dozen tomatoes, 6 bell peppers, some onions and a bunch of cucumbers!
Then I sprayed all of the vines with neem oil, everyone said it would get rid of Japanese beetles! BS! I think they like it. Ill go tomorrow and get some Sevin dust and Ill mix it with diatomaceous earth and that will knock them out.
20260621_134644.jpgI have been needing and wanting to get the tops on my grape and scuppernong arbors
20260621_134733.jpg
So I set up some stops on the welding bench, and started bending some old rebar.
20260621_163940.jpg
I made this to help me set everything the same on all six tops.
20260621_184607.jpg
So the tops on the scuppernongs are doubles, they run off both sides.
20260621_184619 (1).jpg
The four grape arbors are just single arms.
20260621_184619.jpg
I welded washers to the arms, Ill string wire between them to give the vines something to grab onto.

Worked in the yard again today,

You can see the new grapes way down the hill, the grapes in the foreground are white grapes.

Behind the grapes are muskadines.

I did them in a tree form, not your typical setup, but they produce way more fruit than we can eat, I give away buckets full to everyone.
20260622_161754.jpgthen the blackberries are on the other side of the driveway.

Easy snack when I mow.

These were planted this year and are already full of berries, the bare spot behind them will be for blueberries once I get a block wall built.

Grew up eating wild blackberries, never knew what a great thing it was till I moved and didn’t have them.
Same here!

Would pick huge amounts.

Mom would puree them and push them thru a wire strainer to remove the seeds. The pulp would go straight into the hand crank ice cream maker for the most awesome summer time dessert!

There was a horse pasture at the house next door, it had about 1000ft. road frontage, and had the best wild blackberries in that fence, the po decided to sell and he pulled all of the fence out and bush hogged everything flat, he said it made the property worth more! I could pick a gallon a day when they were in season.
Pat makes jelly, when she has enough jelly for the year,

I make wine until I have my stash full, then I start giving them away.

The city I grew up in was mostly agrarian farms back in the 1600 and 1700’s so there was all kinds of strange **** growing everywhere. It became industrialized in the 1800’s so you might have a shoe factory with rhubarb growing in the green areas, a pipeline would be lined for miles with every kind of berry you could imagine, apple orchards were turned into apartment complexes, corn fields became schools.
