"I'm very excited to get onto my truck projects. I have a couple of lingering projects that I'm trying to get off my plate and then it's going to happen." I was hoping to bump the c10 up the list. The Ford is ok tho.. I like the drag box looks like it works good. Those cheap tractors don't have a lot of pull. Jim

My Dad would buy my Mother a new truck about every 2 or 3 years and I would buy the old one from her. That 97 is the last one Dad bought before he passed, when Mom passed she left instruction that it was mine. It has 89,000 miles on it and is the only one that I have ever seen with true factory dual exhaust.

That old craftsman lawn mower was given to my bil it dose ok for mowing but that's about it. I wish I had a skid steer to finish what I have to get done here but I'm not going to buy one now as I'm trying to end the projects so that I can move on to other things.

I wasn't either, I have seen many with the two outlet muffler but this one has two converters and four o2 sensors. I really need to run some numbers to know what it really is.

There was a site you could put the vin in and it would tell you every option on the truck. If I can remember what it is I will post it.

I'll look into it, I did the Marti report on my 1970 F100 it was only 18.00 for the online report and it verified that it was still a numbers matching truck. The only surprise I got was that it was born with a black cloth bench seat and it now has a red houndstooth bench seat. I'm thinking black buckets from a 70 Mustang would look better.

It looks like I'm way behind on your thread. You move around as badly as I do when working on several projects at one time. The gazebo project looks pretty large. your cast iron pan idea may slip onto my to do list. Your bil's tractor set up is very original but looks like it worked out pretty well. Nice of you to share that pretty red truck with the Pelican LOL

I have all of the parts for the gazebo finished, we moved everything to the main shop until the boys are ready for powder coat, I'm hoping next Saturday. I have had another project sitting idle for almost two years so while the welding table was empty I got it knocked out.
A quick sketch
This project involves the old farm where my bil grew up, he sold the place and moved into the house next to mine so Pat could help with his disabled son.
These old boards came from the barn on the property. He got them for a memento.
I cut them down and pulled the nails then cleaned them up.
I cut some shelf boards
I started gluing them And pin nailing them together
I got the case finished
We removed these old boards from the bil's house during the remodel

Tomorrow I will cut out a decorative foot to attach to the bottom and call the bil to come get it. Another project done and off my plate, yea me!!!

when you say you CLEANED UP the old boards are you just sanding them or did you run them thru a planer or do tell? what sort of woodworking tools do you own?

I took another siding board and traced a simple pattern on it and cut it out with a hand held jig saw, I used an old piece of 22 ga. sheet metal for pattern

I made a couple of returns for the side
I cut some backer boards to attach the foot
Added four 4" screws to keep things tight
I had some trim scraps so I added a little detail to the front
The finished cabinet
This is about as primitive as it gets. The bil just left with it and he is very happy with it, he says it's going in his hallway.

I just took a wet towel and cleaned the dirt off of the wood. I did take a scraper and remove the loose paint on the siding other than that that's it. The bil and his gf will probably wire brush the inside and white wash it with a very thin wash coat.

The gazebo was built like a kit. It is 12'x 12' and 9'5'' tall at the peak. This was done so that it would fit in the powder coat oven. It is 12' wide but the heating elements take up some room down both sides of the oven.

Thanks, yes it really got caught up in the mess and pushed back several times. It should be ok now.
I got the globes and some other parts ordered today for the gas pumps, the panels are at sandblast and should be back next week.

Harley my parents used to live down there before I was born and I was having a rough last couple days so I just got in the truck and drove to chatt to help a friend put a engine together, and stopped at books a million and then a stranger recommended me a comic book store that I didn’t know about so I went and visited it lol

HJ, very nice job on the rustic bookshelves. Looks to me like your bil and other family members are lucky to have you around. Always willing to lend a hand it looks like. 
Count me as one of the many waiting to see the gazebo finished. Looks like you will be able to enjoy it this spring. Do you have a lot of insects in your area? Any plans to add screen?

Engineered log cabin (fake logs, look hand hewn, but no shrinking or chinking) on 14 wooded acres.
But, we want to be within a golf cart ride of the lake.
The search continues.

Just talked to the daughter just north of Nashville.
They're getting hammered with ice, snow and sleet.
One popped up that I like, but it's too far from the lake.

No storm here, 43 deg and drizzle. It is hitting the plateau really hard. There is a mountain line on the west side of Chattanooga that I believe turns the weather to the north and it almost always misses us. Mont. Eagle and S. Pittsburgh are getting hammered right now.
I agree that you need to hold out for what you want, this may be your last move. Make it count.
I'm sure glad I am where I am, I dont think I could move all of this junk if I wanted to. Glad you guys are doing well.

Had to take the Granddaughter to the eye doctor today for a checkup, she had surgery Friday, all is well. Pulled an Uncle Willie and went to the grocery store, 300 dollars later I made it home.
Had some peach wine and some apple crisp wine to bottle up and put away, sampled a bit for quality control: wink, wink:

Well that lasted about an hour. I decided to go to the basement and grind the paint off a section of wall that seeps water. Last year I cleaned the wall and painted it with block aid to seal it, most of the wall did ok but this spot started to bubble. We have a gallon of the pink sealer that is used on showers before you tile them. I'm thinking about putting it on the block.
The section that I'm having trouble with.

Tomorrow I will get the shop vac and clean everything before I coat the wall.
