The next town east of me is Reliance
Ummm do you have a river too?

I just looked up Reliance, pretty place, great scenery. And there is a river!

Very nice/scenic area you live in. Those hills and trees are so different than what we have here in Colorado. It is truly a beautiful country we all live in.

Yes, class 4 rapids just like in the movie!
I never got into rafting or tubing. The creeks and rivers here are all too cold for me. I remember wading and playing in the creek at my parents mountain place until our feet were blue.

The one time I have been "rafting", guided afternoon family type thing, it was a lot of fun. Just not my thing.

We could sure use some of that rain out here, Ann names all here chickens well all but the roasters they go home with Jose my helper. Ann sent him home yesterday with a big red bourbon turkey that was getting a little hard on the hens. She will have no part of eating her chickens.

I don't think those goats would last long in my yard with our 2 dogs, Buck and mollie. They love chasing anything that moves around here including my golf cart.

That's my fear is that Pat will name them. I used to raise bourbon reds but they got rough with everything even the 9 year old, so they went.

This rain is ridiculous my lawn has gone to seed, it's trying to rain now.
The power came back on around 2:30 then went off again and I dont know what time it was but it sucked.
Talked to the guy in Ohio he says he is coming next week to get the F100, he bought a trailer in McDonald Tn. And has to pick it up also.
Kind of got me in a selling mood so Its time to let go of some more iron, I'm going to start posting some stuff on market place but it will be first come first sold.

Those of you who drop by my thread, you know that we’re in Pigeon Forge on vacation. I thought since I was in the neighborhood, I’d drop by and “Hi” to HJ and his better half. I think he was feeling guilty since he didn’t save me any of the goulash. Anyway, Uncle Willie, Pines, you’ll have to drive a little further if you still want this really nice truck, it’s headed to Michigan now. 😉 Definitely had a good time with HJ and Pat (I really hope my memory didn’t fail me on her name). His pics don’t do his work justice.

Kirk,
I follow Jim's thread here even though I've never posted on it.
Is this for real???
From the time Jim posted pictures of this truck I've always secretly (well not so secretly now) wanted this truck, but never thought it would be available. I'M JEALOUS!

Harley Jim,
First time poster in your thread.
You take on alot of amazing projects that are beyond my skill-set.
I enjoy reading the updates you post, and look forward to many more.
And..... I liked that truck alot!

I just had to do it. You know this old man doesn't have that kind of coin. And even if HJ wanted to sell it, Pat would never let him.

That was funny as hell.
I can get into elaborate schemes like that.

I once listed a members SO sandblaster on CL during a meet up there. A partner in crime showed upwith ad to buy!

The rain is supposed to be out of here for a couple of days so all should be ok.
I mowed my yard, Robs yard next door, and my bil's yard next to Rob, I had the deck all the way up and still chocked the mower out three times, I went back and cut the second pass at four inches, it's still a little rough looking.
I watched the news today and that area around Humphreys county got 17.4 inches of rain in 24 hours an all time record for most of the area.

This is what Bald river falls looks like normally.

This is how it looks after the kind of rain we have had the past week.

I saw a current pic but couldn't find it again so I borrowed one from pinterest that was close.
The falls are about 40 minutes from me.

That’s a incredible amount of rain. If there’s 6” down here it’s flooded, but we don’t get no where near as bad as that or what’s I’ve seen in the news.

Its flat as a rock around here.

Thanks for the thoughs guys, I'm in a pretty good place, I haven't measured it but my house is probably 20 to 25 feet above the creek so I'm not too worried about a total wash out

The river above my house is controlled by the TVA and they actually turn it off at will. It is usually off from Monday through thursday and on during the weekend days only for rafters.

They can actually run the water off of the mountain several different ways and directions. If it comes down the Ocoee river it dumps into Parksville lake so another buffer.

Pines, it's still safe and sound
