Lazy isn't all bad but! I need to focus, and get done.
The poison ivy is gone except for some scabs and red blotches, I did finally get a script for a steroid that works really well for me, I'll save it for next time!
My favorite spray is Ivy dry and I went to about 10 places and all of them were out but they all had Iverest so I was stuck using it.
Thanks for that Strouty, the little girl was a horrible thing for everyone. My Uncle was 86 and had a very full life, he earned the rest 👍
Pat has had an inversion table for years and it works well for her, not so much for me.
I like the camaro for him, I had a 69 Firebird when I was a young gun it had a 455 ho motor at around 500 hp, I ran 16.55x 15" tires on the back and could fry them,
I'm strictly a truck guy and have really always been. I couldn't even pick a car that I would like to own right now except maybe a 36 Packard coupe but that would be about the only one.

If you find some extra motivation, can you send some my way? One weekend of working hard, and most of the vehicle repairs would be done. One weekend of working hard, and the drywall would be up in the shop. Then it would be '52 time. Don't hold your breath. Guess I'm saying, I feel your pain.

I'm looking for some but like Ivy dry it seems to be in short supply,
Now that's a hell of a thought Strouty.
Pat and I were looking through estate sales this morning and we both said no more sales until we are done with the house.
I went to a sale yesterday and there were about 75 dual gumball machines, two machines on one pedistal for 17.50 each set up. I could have bought a truck load and flipped them easy, but I walked away. We need to stay focused and get our basic shops done(a shop will never be finished) then play,
I am reevaluating how I'm going to finish some of this stuff, like the carport at the basement, for now Im going to gravel it instead of concrete, it's just parking for extra vehicles. Simplify and conquer!

Glad I read this so I don't go down a rabbit hole. I don't need anything else on my plate, but our day jobs are getting to Robin and I. Just need to find that motivation.

Glad I read this so I don't go down a rabbit hole. I don't need anything else on my plate, but our day jobs are getting to Robin and I. Just need to find that motivation.
That day job owns you, it owns everyone! and dont let me discourage you with that, but if Robin's venture pays off maybe just maybe that can change.
I have been fortunate that most of my jobs I enjoyed and was able to manipulate to my liking, so the old saying, find a job that you like and you will never work a day in your life kind of applied to me.
I'm finding motivation hard to come by these days also and I truly believe it's the world around us, things were good for a few years and people were cash flush, I know I had more play money than I had ever had in my life but the Rona and a couple of other folks kind of killed that for a lot of us. We just need to rethink ourselves and reset our priorities then we will find our way past this time in our lives. Dont give up on the hemp it may be what everyone wants and needs.

On the lighter side I did find enough ambition to get the drywall hung in the basement.
20220320_124109.jpg
This is the wall I framed the other day. Got pics finally.
20220320_173652.jpg
Drywall in place. My desk is going to set on this wall. The small outlet box up in the corner will be for a power strip that will be mounted on the block wall, there will be a sideboard put under the power strip that will hold my 3D printer and regular printer.
20220320_173516.jpg
The door and closet. I had four sheets of drywall left from the house remodel in 2012 that ha been in the shop taking up space, now I only need to buy one sheet to finish the inside of the closet.
20220320_180829.jpg
Out the basement door.
20220320_180837.jpg
This is where the big carport will be moved to when this small one gets moved behind the shop. The concrete apron will be removed here and replaced, this one is tilted toward the house and runs water into the basement door. It will be 10' wide then gravel out another 22' for the carport to set on. More on that later.
It's been a great day I accomplished more than I thought I would have.
Pat has a roast and taters on and I'm going to pull an Uncle Willie and head for the shower and then maybe find an adult beverage. 👍

You sound just like Robin on the C-19 (got to love Pixar's Monsters Inc.) and motivation thing. I wasn't thinking about ditching the hemp, just the opposite, ditching the day job to build hemp equipment to rent out.

It looks like you found some motivation. I found a little myself, but very little. Just enough to run safety wire on the trans rag joint on Claudia, but not enough to get the cover back on the clutch housing. Anyway, it looks like you got a good stroke done. I hope you can build on the motivation.

It's been a busy few days, I have had several Masonic events to attend, had a meeting in Maddisonville last night.
The bil bought a fiberglass swimming pool 11'x 13', we had to go load it and move it to his place, then unload it and flip it upside down for storage, didnt want it to fill with water yet.
I spent the afternoon yesterday playing with the laser at Donnies. We are making some decor items for Pat's new canning kitchen. The plaque is off center and will get redone, we were trying to learn the centering function! Learning!!!

Then you hit the wrong button and post half of your post,
Then we tried some jars!
20220321_223745.jpg
We will need to test can these to see if they are still stable to use,
20220314_145547.jpg
Then we made some more round tuits.
20220314_211953.jpg
Then we made some Masonic date coins.
They are getting better Kirk, I'm trying to get Donnie to install the program on my laptop so I can work on design here in my recliner.

Some of us actually do sit in our chairs after a hard days work but with all the lodge stuff, helping friends and BIL, and charity work you’re hardly staying in one place. Nice looking wall too!!

Thanks Uncle Willie, the more we play the more we learn. I turn some walking sticks and we are going to try to engrave one of them.

Thanks Drives, it's starting to come together.

Thetastlingers, thank you, I had a really old friend give me a wooden one years ago, that memory is what I told Donnie about, he made it and surprised me with it. Thanks for stopping in.

John, yes my neighbor Donnie is making various coins as a fund raiser for our Masonic lodge. I am helping him market them. Private message me if you want.

Anyone that wants one can message me.

I took Pat to the dentist this morning, she told them a month ago that a local would not work that she would need to be put out, well they didnt want to do that so she got a local and he tried to pull it. It didnt work so he got mad, told her to come back in two weeks. I'm pissed, she is hurting and they forgot to send the script to the pharmacy. I'm not happy.
Tomorrow will be a bad day for all concerned!
I did work in the basement inbetween checking on her.

I installed metal corners on the closet.

I had forgot to bring the cat6 through the wall so I pulled the screws and found it and cut another box in, all better now.

Looks like some really good progress. They pulled just one of my wisdom teeth with just a local. But shame on them for not listening, and not having the script.

I had a dentist like that once. He started working, and I told him I wasn't numb. He said we would wait a bit longer for it to take effect, then he came back. It still wasn't numb. We waited longer, and it still wasn't numb. This time I grabbed his hand, pulled the drill out of my mouth, and told him if he didn't numb me more I was going to drill all his teeth. His assistant (who was gorgeous) started laughing. He stormed out and told her take care of the shot. I had him fix that tooth, and never went back to him again. I should have gotten her number though as I was between wifes at the time.

My sympathies to Pat!
I had a hack dentist once try to pull my wisdom teeth without enough anesthesia.
Without realizing it, I'd grabbed his wrist and clamped down.
This was back when I was turning wrenches for a living.
He stopped at my shop the next morning to show me the bruises I'd left on his arm.
I didn't feel bad about it at all.
Hope Pat feels better and they all get their head out of their azzes!

Kirk, If I could get other people to leave me alone I could get something done. I had to stop 3 times today for other people, not Pat, other people. I'm sounding like a crotchety old fart arnt I.
Willy,
Thanks Terry,
I really dont understand people anymore, She told them her history and they still screwed it up. That trip I made to the Doc to get my scripts fixed, A walmart that I dont use called me and said one of the six was ready for pickup. They are supposed to be mailed to me by CVS. I just dont understand.

I'm going to get up and get busy early today, time to focus.
I cant find my 12" drywall knife, I'm sure its hiding in plain site so Im going to start spring cleaning right after I put the next coat of mud on the wall.

Bugnut, that was a new one 😖.

I got a very early start today, I was having my coffee at 6:00 this morning. I went to the shop and started cleaning, I almost filled a 50 gallon trash can and put a lot of things away. I didnt find my drywall tools, I suspect that they must be in the storage trailer, I'm not going in there if I have to go buy a new knife.

I sold the speedy cart today, it is going to an older man who wants it to use at his camp ground. More room in the shop.
I gave up on cleaning and worked on the golf cart this afternoon.
20220324_164649.jpg
I got a couple of sheets of cardboard from LaserJay to see what a jeep might look like. I dont care for it.

It is way too long, so I'm going to section the frame around five inches and try again.

Worked in the basement again today. I got another coat of mud on everything then I went to the shop to work, while I was there the mail man brought a special delivery.

I wasnt expecting anything!
20220325_145657.jpg
It was from Tony (Bears Fan) I knew he was going to send the knobs as we were talking about our sand blast cabinets and modifications that he was making.
20220325_145554.jpg
But I was so surprised when I opened the box and saw all of the kindness. What a guy. Tony thank you Buddy, I love the stickers, and I'll update after I try the jelly and bbq sauce.
It was to cold to stay outside so I took Pat out for lunch and called it a day.
