Those little mules are awesome. I saw a guy pull his truck out of the mud with one.

The trailers are trick too. In addition to the moving tailboard, I have seen ones that extend, and one that had a turntable for rotating the builging.

I have often though about getting into moving sheds, but only for tough access locations. It would be fun for at least a couple days, I am sure of that. ;)

That trailer retracted to half its leinght, it tilted at the goose neck, power tailboard, and a third axle with the tires mounted sideways, he could drop the third axle and drive the wheels hydraulically moving the trailer left or right. It was an amazing trailer. The mules lift was power up and power down, it loads itself onto the flatbed without ramps. Matt said that mule would move my building by itself, the building is 15'x 40'
One that would move a conex would be cool.

I had a good day today, I got two sections of fence finished.
20220507_141529.jpgI put the new gate in and 76' of fence where I took part down to get the cabin in. I moved the corner back about 25' from where it was.

This section is 26' long and is on the other side of the back yard. Now I have about 150' across the back to finish the fence. Then we should be able to let Hefe run loose in the yard, I hate putting a dog on a lead rope.

I quit about 3:00 and got cleaned up, we had to be in Harrison Bay by 5:00 for a group birthday party, 6 of us have birthdays in May so we have a family cook out. Tonight I grilled hot dogs and burgers, Charlie made pulled pork bbq, Ronnie made chicken, Dude made baked beans, Pat made hotslaw and coleslaw, tater salad, and a strawberry cake, there was a ton of other stuff also. Tomorrow Dude and I are going to Dayton for an estate sale, they are showing a vintage mini bike, I need a new pit bike since I sold my shopping cart.

The grandkids liked the shopping cart but they would love a mini bike.

Terry, Thanks and Happy birthday to you 🎉
Strouty, Thanks, I was born on Mothers day!

So I got me a birthday present today.

It's a Sears Yellow Jacket, the plastic clutch/chain guard is still on it with the sticker intact.

I was surprised that it was still at the estate sale,
I got it for 25 dollars that really surprised me. Then a guy followed me to my truck trying to buy it from me. It may be my birthday but that dosnt mean I have to grow up.

Its solid Kev, I have been looking on line for tires, I'll make the seat myself, I've been saving a black leather mini skirt for a special project, and Dalton is ready to powder coat it. I just need to get a couple of these other projects out of the way.

Happy birthday Jim! My brother and I had a Sears mini bike with a 5 HP Briggs on it as our first mini bike, then one day dad took us to the Honda dealer and the rest is history  it was the start of a life long obsession with dirt bikes.

I bid on one similar to the one you just bought at an auction last year, I stopped bidding at $350.00 o_O

You guys make me laugh, I'll be sure to get pics of everything.

Tony, I'm in shock, I have been googling for parts and information on it and what they sell for is crazy. This one has the Tecumseh motor and dosnt seem to have spark.

Thanks for the birthday well wishes everyone, its officially on the 11th but this family stretches things out for a week or so, so everyone gets a shot at you!

I'm going to get the backhoe and start digging footers for knee walls today. Were supposed to be rain free for five days so I need to get it done while I'm not fighting mud.

Its been a great week so far, thanks for the well wishes, and the song Pines, (it was good 👍)
I got started on the footers was doing real good...... then there was this loud bang!

The cast iron knuckle let go, guess I was working it a bit hard.
20220509_145124.jpg
Of course the pins were frozen and had to be torched out.
20220509_145157.jpg
First I called Paul Craig to see if he had one on the shelf, Paul still works on old Ford tractors and has a parts store, he didnt have one off but said there were some in the bone yard. I went out in our woods and found an old Ford tractor frame and it had the one I need, so a sledge hammer, pair of vise grips, and a smaller pin got the job done.

Got it back together, backed it back into position, stretched out the arm and got a bucket full of dirt, and ran out of gas.

So this is where I left it, I got a shower and went to practice at the lodge, nobody showed up so I called Pat and told her I was on my way back home, I came in to hamburgers and tater tots on the stove. So I'm still calling this a good day. Tomorrow is another day, I'm still confident that I'm going to get the walls done.

I think it’s Jims birthday tomorrow (11th) but he’s so popular here on GJ I guess he deserves a week long birthday!!

Happy birthday old guy!!

Nice find on mini bike and I always wanted one but ended up driving VW big at 12.

Cheers!!

Limit that birthday cake/pie to one piece a day if you can.

Thanks guys
I got the second footer dug, it ain't pretty but It is level. There is an old concrete drain tile right on the edge of the footer and Pat's hostas are hovering right above that. I would normally just rip it all out and deal with it later but this is the first time in years the frost hasn't hit her hastad so I'm trying to work around them.

I'll use a shovel and work that pipe out and square things up a bit. It it only a footer for a knee wall not like its structural!

The hastas are being held up with rebar pins from one of the carports.
