Scooterbum, unfortunately it didnt work down here, but I did solve the leak.
Welder, I'm a motivated guy, I'm trying to get back to my shop where I belong.

I sanded and second coated everything today, then me and the bil installed his ceiling fan and the rest of his outlets then went to Lowes, I got polyurethane for the ceiling we are thinking about spraying it tomorrow.
Time for a little Yellowstone and a fire.

Looks great! We’ve been doing a lot of fires lately, but they’re working fires together rid of tree debris.

Yellowstone ? Taking anyone to the train station?🤣🤣

Got the first coat of clear on the ceiling today.
20221120_212530.jpg
I had to put sanding walls on hold until the ceiling is dry.

I got the kitchen wall primed and painted today.
I didnt get a pic but we took Kay to Logan's Road house for her birthday, it was fun that a friend of hers was our waiter, we all had a good time.

Pat said she would make a couple of pecan pies for Thanksgiving if she had some pecans, so I shelled out a few tonight, I'll do some more tomorrow.

Kirk, you know how laid back Pat is about things, she says it will all be fine, I want it to be as perfect for her as it can be. She is already drafting a menu, I cant wait to eat!
Jay, you are right, those pecans are going to be great!

Well the ceiling looks great, I used warm satin and its perfect.
So I sanded the walls and applied what I believe to be the last coat of mud, then we swept and vacuumed the floor to try and keep the dust tracking down.
Tomorrow I'll sand and prime the whole room, then I can look for blemishes, I'm hoping to have color on the walls before bedtime tomorrow.
The lodge is going to the boys & girls club ocoee region tonight, we are presenting them with a check from the proceeds from our car show, this and some other donations from other groups allows them to purchase Christmas for the kids from about 70 families.
This is why I do what I do through out the year by visiting businesses and getting donations and products for the car show!

Progress continues to make me grin.
I have some decoration jobs inside my place, been neglecting it over the last few years, and some changes due, looking at your work, I know I will be happier if I got them done.

I got up at 5:00 to pee, and decided to check the primer, and I spackled about 6 or 8 spots and went back to bed for an hour. I painted my office in the basement the same color, it's the only color I have picked out for this house, and that's a good thing. It's a soothing color that makes me feel calm when I'm near it!

Thank you Drives,
I hope everyone has a great day and can find something to be grateful about, I know I can.
I appreciate all of the folks that stop by here and check on all of the nonsense that happens. Pat is in her element, she has been up cooking most of the night, doing what she loves, later I'll be doing what I love, eating it!

I did get to where I wanted to be with the porch, after a couple of days I will start doing the window trim and replace the back door.
I'm hoping to wrap up the house projects and get back to my shop soon, I need some metal!

Strouty, I can say the same about you, you're knocking the projects off pretty quick yourself!

Went to Reliance for a turkey shoot today, I tied two rounds, the bil won three rounds, and Dalton won three rounds, all with my Dads Hawthorn shotgun, did I tell y'all how proud I am of that gun! It has won more rounds all season than any other gun out there.

I spent the day running, went to lowes and got crown molding and a couple of boards for the porch, I dropped off a battery at batteries plus yesterday to be tested, I stopped and picked it up today, they said it was hard to get it to take a charge but it did therefore it's ok, (translation, we'll string this out until the warranty runs out) I went to the nursery and picked up a dogwood tree, I had one die two years ago, with the drought conditions Gary was reluctant to sell me one until now. I had a couple of other stops to make deliveries at as I made my way home. Got home and got lazy, I went and got the little backhoe and dug my hole for the tree, its planted and I started a hose trickling on it, three hours later it started raining, its supposed to rain all night, so that should settle it in nicely.

I worked all day yesterday but you couldn't tell it.
Today I ripped the tongue and grove off some more of the leftover ceiling boards.

They were paid for over two years ago, so this is the most cost effective move.

I've had the table saw set up under the car port most of the summer.
20221201_163140.jpg
I'm going to have pleanty of kindling for the shop stove.

I dont know how a professional carpenter would have done this but I cut some shims from some of my scrap to fill the voids.
20221201_151657.jpg
Then I put some insulation in the gaps and caulk in the cracks.
20221201_151641.jpg
I built a sill all the way around the bottom, then started cutting some of the top plates but stopped to start cutting the stiles to see how thing were going to work out. It all looks like it's going to work so tomorrow I'll finish the top plate and stiles. Supper time

The shims worked well, everything lined up perfect!
20221202_172801.jpg
I have one more corner to build then I can start the top and bottom trim, and the faces for the stiles.
No work tomorrow, I have to be at three different lodges in two states so busy day just not what I want to be doing.

Kirk, I'm trying. I can see the light and that is really motivating me.

Rain again today, there saying wet until Wednesday! I need to cut top and bottom trim and haul it down to the shop for paint, the table saw is set up under the carport so I should be ok. I still have the door and shutters for the basement in the shop, I was waiting for a rainy day to start on them, so!
