This was the first thing I noticed about it as well. I called the company and apparently it's for Glaziers for tapping in sheets of glass/plexi at the corners to make sure you get a tight fit without breaking it.

Well, thank goodness they don't have a special hammer for that that would tempt me. :D

if we placed an order, are we supposed to list the order number in this thread? I see a bunch of people doing that and just wasn't sure if that was necessary for some sort of discount to be applied

It's optional. Just something that is done to have an idea how many have participated until the dust settles and official numbers are tabulated.

I didn't need anything, so I didn't order (sorry) for HJE day, but when I order from them, I just request box art and leave it up to them. I do like the Moe with a crowbar though....

My history. My advice: start making your own.
Ah shoot, forgot some......the artwork is surely better than the tools! Someday I'm gonna be rich!!!......the Statue of Liberty might be beach front property by then,, but hey that damn cat in this post won't care...and even if it does, whoever fills the bowl, cats don't care!!

Web site is still taking Epstein Day discount codes at 10:00 PM local time (midnight in KCMO). Decoder ring was the best discount as only one code can be used, apparently. This year hurt: Three orders, including the midnight order for the needle nose Eagle Grips, for $900. Ouch. Order ##6567 (2 July), 6614 (Malco) (4 July), and 6939 (8 July). Between the 400 orders of this past week and asking for box art for the first time, I know they will not be here in time for my 67th on Saturday.

Cheers

(****, I never hit the Post Reply on Monday evening, this post is two days old, it has just been sitting here waiting to have the button pushed. What a maroon.)

Happy I made it to the semi finals of the Wera raffle! A little disappointed in my tanks unwillingness to even move an inch in the semi finals though. Thanks for doing this Rori I really enjoyed it.

My order arrived today! Lots of odds and ends to fill various needs in the house and the shop.

We've got two Grayvik hammers destined for the basement toolbox. A flex spout oiler for the milling machine. Every size of Vessel 1/4" impact bit adapters. Also some 6" impact socket adapters from Alfa Tools. A couple of dental picks and a pair of locking tweezers for finer work tasks. I have a laser distance finder, but often I prefer a tape measure so I got one of the NOS Lufkin tapes. And for a whopping $1, how could I pass up the GC Tool duplex alignment screwdriver! Finally, I got a 100 mm grooved rule for my PEC squares, and a it appears they tossed in a (hard to see in this photo due to reflections) 6" scale as an Epstein's day bonus!

The only thing missing is my pair of needle nose Malcos - one of you guys here must have gotten them in your order by mistake. Feel free to send them to me at your earliest convenience 😜

Shipped Saturday. 5 days is pretty good to Hawaii… Fun stuff packed perfectly. My first metric feeler gauges. The Shroeder made Craftsman ratcheting screwdriver is marked WF. Subcontract I guess? The new store front works very well with shipping notifications. Good job with the changeover HJE. From the videos, it seems no one was permanently injured implementing the new website, but I’m sure there were moments.

Do we have a roll up for Epstein Day 2024?

Total number of orders? most popular item (other than the 31 pairs of long nose eagle grips)?

Inquiring minds want to know
Top five most popular items:

1. Bomb Tethers
2. Lufkin "Mezurall" Chrome Clad Tape Measure
3. USA Stainless Steel Double End Dental Pick
4. LP7WC Malco Eagle Grip
5. NOS Jorgensen Wood Handle

Total orders is a little sketchy but I would put it right around 225. Probably a little over.
Shopify doesn't let me breakdown orders by sales group for some reason but here's the graph of the week so you can see the bumps:

They really need to pick some fixed day to do this each year so we dont forget. :p
If only there was some nationally recognized historical event this sale could be tied to for everyone to easily remember....man that WOULD be sweet.
/s

I just need to log on more, that's what it comes down to. I'll make up for it.

@jsackin Jori, I'm sure you and your team are hard at work drawing on boxes so I dont want to put you on the spot but can you please figure out and post the date for next year's HJE Day will be so we will have proper advance notice?
Next year will be easy as July 4th is on a Friday so it will be that July 4th weekend.
