I'm not finding an obituary for Steve yet -- but it's only been a little more than a year since his mother passed away:

Just a reminder that HJE has 103 of these French-made FACOM 13mm nutdrivers in stock. $4, would make an excellent party favor for the right crowd.

It's kind of a beast:

Simple square handle actually feels pretty good. Does not taste like Jolly Rancher.

Also, 57 of these 13mm T-handles at $8.00/ea:

It is a somber time for one of America’s great hardware and tool stores. Participating in this years Epstein’s day will be a privilege. Obviously they won’t be providing the same level of jubilation this year, but I’m looking forward to showing my appreciation for an American institution, as well as great and nostalgic tools and paraphernalia.

I can’t think of a more Epstein’s day item than a ‘50’s US tank periscope. Sure you could blow 60 bucks having a two hour fine dining experience, or you could get one of these and have days of enjoyment playing with it. Great entertainment. I got mine last year.

Stop posting cool stuff :)

[Narrator: he means the opposite]

I had planned on participating, but then decided not to wait so I made two orders last month.

They didn't decorate my boxes :-(

But they shipped me cool stuff, mostly from wright tool.

I have a few of these... Tiny headed 3/8 flex head ratchet. The 1/4 is nice too

I believe that they are now out of malco locking pliers. But I have a couple. One of the reasons I did not wait.

Also, buy some of these Norseman drill bits. These drill through pretty much everything. When I want to enlarge an existing hole, they self center.

One pair of Eagle grips left as of a few minutes ago. Buying last month was good, but putting together another box for the 4th of July shouldn’t be a problem;) 23mm wrench (which I’ve never had to use), the SK needle nose, an assortment of vintage drag link sockets, USA screw starters. It’s endless.

As of my last order, I now have wrenches from right tools from 1/4 in through 1 and 1/4 in. I filled in the 9/32s and 11/32 with some protos. And metric I go from 6 mm to 32 mm without skips in my primary set. Okay wright tools does not make a 31 mm wrench and I think A friend said he used one once on either some kind of air pipe or I think some car had one on their axle or something. So I bought one from Tekton just because I had a spot for it.... And I only have one 31mm socket.

My bigger wrenches are all Proto I think.

But I got all those big wright wrenches from them.

HUSKY screwdrivers, obviously the same darned thing as Craftsman, both made by Western Forge.

A ten pack for when adequate screwdrivers are all you need, or for a kid, or a gift, etc etc:

The 1/8" family of pocket screwdrivers, the original pocket prybar:

Robertson drive, for electrical (or Canadian?) work?

Give me another week and I should have the final details for the deals this year, but expect something for: Wright Tool, Norseman, Magnolia, Channellock and AMH. We're redesigning the shirt this year in memory of Steve, as he loved Epstein's Day, so I'm going to try and make it a good one for him. Also have our summer hats in production which should be done by then. And his last book will be out in a few weeks. Other than that we'll have some great deals on tools. If you're interested in supporting US manufacturing there's no better companies to support than Wright (Barberton, OH) and Wilde (Hiawatha, KS) so I will try and highlight them as much as I can. Other than that keep an eye out and I'll post the official rules and everything next week.

Sounds like the kind of guy we all strive to be. I’m really going to miss him even though we never had the opportunity to meet. Steve became a solid part of my life thanks in part to social media and the videos and he and Jori would put out. I wish everyone at HJE the best and I will put in an extra special word tonight with the fella running the big show upstairs.

I was just logged in on the HJE site but did not see a wish list nor did I see the old large red heart icon on any product page. Has the wish list gone away or am I missing something?

When I went on epstein’s store page and saw the empty jacket video I was so sad. My thoughts go out to you Jori and all those family and friends who were close to Steve. I loved watching the YouTube videos and listening to Steve’s passion about tools but especially American tool manufacturing. What a wealth of knowledge he was. The great warehouse surplus buy of 3? Years ago sticks out as a video I really enjoyed. Looking forward to a great Epstein’s day and getting a shirt in honor of Steve.

Are you sure you are signed in?

Here is where I see them. Top of the screen says Signout in a blue box.
Thanks for verifying that the wish list function is still functioning. Your screen shot shows what I had expected to see for the wish list function. This is what I see signed in on Chrome (not in Incognito mode either):

Are you running any privacy/security extensions or have restrictive site permissions within Chrome?

I had this issue within Firefox and had to turn off Enhanced Tracking Protection to see the Wish List function.

Brave, waterfox, floorp, zen are some other browsers I've heard good things about and also I saw a new video dropped today. Perhaps they will have some copies available on pancake Saturday. I'm told Steve liked pancake Saturdays quite a bit

That all looks right, hopefully @jsackin can find time to look before the big day.

Have you tried Edge or another browser?

Thanks to your suggestions, this has been solved. This existed for Chrome w & w/o Incognito mode and for Edge. The common factor being a DuckDuckGo extension. Turning off the extension or exempting HJE from its grasp solved the problem. Wish list is back; thanks, again!

So...I haven't forgot about you guys. Was in the process of finalizing some deals and one thing led to another and I might've just stumbled on a big new haul of tools. Don't want to jinx it, but will let you know when it's official. Epstein's Day details and rules will be posted tomorrow.

I went looking for something else and found this. Does anybody need any French surplus parachute shackles? I'm assuming military surplus. Please don't tell me it's FACOM or I'll have to get one.

Tape wrapping details make me wonder if it's big.

i got that "D" ring if you'll call it that and it's not small i put in my ATV (250cc) to use for luggage/hauling/whatever, seems strong enough to tow another smallish/light duty ATV. definitely good enough to strap down bags of feed/concrete etc etc.

Before we begin I just want to let everyone know it's been really nice reading through the comments about my dad and I'm sure he'd appreciate everything that was said about him. He taught me everything I know about the business, and I know he would be proud of this new deal I managed to pull together, which is now official. We bought a bunch of pallets of Felo, mostly ratcheting screwdriver sets, screwdrivers and pliers. This isn't overstocks or weird liquidation that didn't sell. It's a long list of mostly good stuff that just happened to need a home. It should arrive in a few weeks, but it's a lot, so it might take us time to get it online but it will happen before the big day. Speaking of....

Epstein's Day 2025 FAQ:

  • "When is it?" ⏰
    • Epstein's Day will officially start on Friday (07/04) and go through Monday (07/07) which means it begins 12:01 central time for those that like to get their orders in early. (Note: People like to order early since we do run out of stuff, such as t-shirts, so if you're hoping to snag some swag it pays to get that order in)
  • "How do I get those sweet sweet GJ prices?" 🎰
    • Create an account on our website then message me your email address so I can add you to the group.
    • If you've already done this in years past you don't need to do it again.
    • If you're unsure if you've done this, just ask and I can tell you if you're signed up.
    • There are discount codes this year so be sure to enter them at checkout!
  • "How long does it take for me to get my order?" 📫
    • Since we are about to be flooded with orders it takes us longer than normal to process everything so please be patient. We will work as fast as we can.
  • "What is box art?"🖼️
    • We have a team of people that LOVE to draw on boxes. If you want your box painted send a request in the comments box such as, "Box Art" or if you want to be more specific you can say, "I'd like a spaceship that looks like an El Camino flying over the moon". Be as vague or specific as you want, but box art does make it take longer. Probably a week. Also, it's free so you can't complain if you hate it.
    • I'm pretty sure if you checkout with Paypal there is no way to send a comment so you'll have to email us your request but it's possible this has changed ([email protected])
  • "I am so excited to tell you what shirt size I wear but I don't know how?"🙋‍♂️
    • If you qualify for an Epstein's T-shirt you need to tell us your shirt size. You can do that in the comments box, but like before, if you're checking out with PayPal you might need to send us an email to let us know.
  • "What about the deals this year?" 💵
    • Anyone that orders $100 in Wright Tool merchandise, will get the official 2025 Epstein's Day T-shirt (while supplies last). The t-shirt is designed by my part-time pancake flipper full-time fiance Kimmon (and expectant mother) who will also be drawing on some of the boxes. If you don't qualify but still want a shirt you can buy one for $30. I'll post them online once they're ready. (You don't need to add them to the cart if you qualify. Also customers who do qualify have first dibs on the shirts.
    • Anyone that orders $200 in Wright Tool merchandise will also receive our Dee-Lux US made Koozie which we have left over from last year.
    • If you buy $50 worth of Wera you will be entered into the Wera raffle which will get you... (see further down in thread)
    • If you buy $50 in Wilde you will be entered into a Wilde raffle for a pair of 10" wilde groove joint pliers. We have a number of them so will be second and third place as well.
    • AMH gave us a deal on their 1/4 ton mini ratchet lever chain hoists at $125.00. These are made in China though. They do have hoists that have US chain and other US stuff, but it's the larger sizes and I just didn't think they'd be as popular because shipping those things is expensive. Use discount code: Red Rover to get the special price.
    • Discounts are simplified this year and are currently active so you should be able to see it today if you're all signed up. The discount code: Spatula Citywhich will get you:
      • 10% off Channellock - Also if you order any Channellock we got a bunch of merch from them we'll thrown in. The more you order, the more we'll throw in.
      • 10% off Wright Tool
      • 10% off Magnolia
      • 10% off Eklind
      • 10% off closeouts
    • We also hand out trophies for: The largest Epstein's Day Order, Best Box Art Request, Best Epstein's Day Comment, as well as Best Poem since people have taken to writing us poems for some reason.
    • Typically there are last minute deals as well so stay tuned...
