There's a picture in a book back home that I can't find on the internet, but a NASCAR shop used a series of fluorescent lights arranged in a rectangular shape, then hung from their high ceiling directly above the car. I thought it looked like a great idea, but haven't seen it duplicated anywhere else.
I acquired a bunch of 4 foot, 4-bulb recessed fluorescent fixtures (like you would see in any office building), but in my low basement, the sides block a lot of the light. If I was to gut a few of these fixtures and make a rectangle that would surround my motorcycle lift, would that give me a good amount of light? Or is it a better idea to just space them out normally?
It may not be practical, but it looked damned cool...
