Has Anyone "Patched" an Epoxy Floor?

Just got done yesterday stripping the blistered trouble areas on my epoxied floor (see post http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5269 for complete info on the problem I had). Now I am wondering how it is going to look with them "patched". I am afraid that it is going to be very noticable.

Has anyone had to patch an epoxy floor and if so , how did it look?

Haven't patched my floor yet. I hope I never have to.

I guess you have to look at the alternative. It's going to look better than not refinishing it. I think the fact that you used the chips will help hide the patch and any color differences. Just follow the same mixing quantities you used before to help match the shade.

interesting blisters. I had a problem where my second coat did not cure in six quarter sized areas. I thought my clear coat would cover it, but the clear curdled in these areas. So I peeled off the gooey areas. The first coat underneath is fine. Now I'm getting ready to sand and touch-up these areas.
I hope Epoxy-Coat has touch-up kits.

In any case I'll let you know how it turns out - but you'll probably be done first

Ya, you have a good point there! Once you have an epoxied floor, it would be REAL hard to go back to a bare concrete floor....I hope I won't have too....

Good luck Snorvet with your situation. I hope you are able to get it figured out!

Soon after applying the top coat of Armorseal high VOC epoxy floor coatings in two of my garages, blisters developed in several areas that not even the Sherwin William’s experts could explain. In any event I scraped all the areas that were blistered. Then I roughed up the section between the saw-cuts with a 20” floor buffer machine using a black Scott’s pad. Followed by re-coating the areas with epoxy. The final product is almost unnoticeable.
