Not trying to start a flame fest I'm just curious if anyone has upgraded from one of the 41" boxes that so many have bought. What did you sell it for, was it easy to sell, or was it so cheap that you kept it as a spare?
IBTL...
I've actually seen a couple on Craigs List listed for around what you can get a new one one sale for. My guess is someone bought them for full price without the coupon and then decided to sell them...

The ones you see in my first photo came from Costco. I bought them for 699 dollars. They look good but won't hold up to the kind of punishment i put a tool box through. I kept them in the small machine shop portion of my shop where I did engine building and head porting. They didn't see much abuse back there. Thats because I worked in there after hours on my own stuff and the customers didn't have me pulling my hair out. They are basicly peices of ****. I was going to sell them once but the best offer I got was 300 dollars. I'll just hang on to them and just put light stuff in them. The drawer slides are junk is the biggest thing. I knew that going in so I have treated them gently.I think the worst resellers are those big stainless steel boxes, I see them cheap as hell and they're still up after a week (around here a nice box at a good price goes in hours). Best seller for me, the older Craftsman boxes, they go like hot cakes.
If the tools are Craftsman thats a decenr deal. The box IMHO is better than the Craftsman of the same size. I bet 750 would take it homeThere's one for sale locally now, just listed and in my own town (I better rush over there), $900 for top and bottom full of tools ( I'm going to send an email offering a hundred, if he takes it, I'll buy, smash it, and post pics).

When there are people like me who would love to have a nice big box like that.As far as mickey crushing one, i'm all for it, at least then i could see that he actually uses a tool or two instead of just collecting them and bitching about HF all the time.

I can tell you that he would spend a lot of time crushing those boxes. They arn't realy pretty but I'd go as far to say they rivel the strengh of some of Snap-On boxes. Why would you do that? When there are people like me who would love to have a nice big box like that.
