Good thinking and the probably of getting a spam fax is probably zero.I have a fax line. So any bussiness that wants my phone number get the fax line number.
We got spam faxes a lot at my old job for timeshares, really annoying when your waitin for something important.
A lot of businesses ask for your phone number when you check out. When asked why it's usually that they want the sale in their system in case you lose the receipt and want to return it ... yah right. I usually say no but sometimes give them some bogus number I make up on the spot just to screw up their system. I hope I didn't give them your number.![]()
Same here. Lowe's has started to do it in Canada too. I asked why ... "in case you need to return the item". I said ... "that's funny, I never get asked that in the self check out aisle" (which is automated of course).I got the "can I have your phone #?" deal at Lowes a while back. ...

That only works if there is a real fax on the other end. Most if not all are computer generated and may not even answer incoming calls LOL.Send them a fax back of a ream of black construction paper. They'll go through a ink cartridge in minutes.

For all of you that use those 20% off coupons, usually they ask you to fill in all the information, but I usually just put a name in there and nothing else, but many times that isn't good enough, so I make stuff up such as address and phone number, but yes, I did also get the automated phone call a week or so ago.
