Finally bit the bullet and took Jensputier up on some discount pricing he's offering on Hazet Assistents. in the process, I picked out a few tool sets in the foam inserts built to fit in the trays. Left a few spaces empty to accommodate the few German tools I already had. These little carts are pretty slick! Not a ton of storage but enough for what I need it for and folds small enough not to take up much room. This was a good feature for me as the bay that its going in doesn't have a lot of free space. It also easily fits in the hatch area of my VW GTI. Anyways, enough babbling, here's a few pictures......
3/8 set, 1/4 set, fine tooth 1/2 and 1/4 ratchet' bit ratchet and open end wrenches
2 sets of Hazet screwdrivers and Wera chisel drivers, ESD set, 1/4 Zyklops set, NWS pliers and cutters
Here's a few goodies Jens put in the package...couple pairs of gloves and a really cool tool case. As far as I can tell, it's built to fit the foam tool inserts in case you need to take the tools with you.
All in all, it's an awesome setup for me. I understand this type of tool cart isn't to everyone's tastes. if you're after huge tool storage like a full sized cart or toolbox will give you, This cart isn't for you. If you're looking for a nice compact place to store your most commonly used tools where space is a premium and where you'd need a smaller workspace, this ones worth a look.
I'll also give a plug to Jensputier.....awesome seller and all around great guy. His no pressure, no rush approach and his willingness to take the time to make recommendations to me helped me to pick out what I think is a great starter set of German tools. The freebies he threw in were a nice surprise and a great bonus!
2 thumbs up to Jens and Hazet!
